Those beyond the mortal realm

Brahm Santh Arsheram, High One of Uvashir, on thre nature of man and god.

First Age - The Time of the Echo:

Before man and even the god the world was formed from the breath of the One, who dispersed all of creation with the First Echo. The Ahar Shedai, the First, were notes of the first echo and as such posessed vast powers. The comingling of the First created resonations throughout the world, comingling specific notes to create what was to be specific manifestations dependant on the discordance or harmony with creation. These are the gods. Nature and the multiverse are of the first sound and as such living and breathing things primary to the gods in their embodiment of the First Echo.

Second Age - The Age of Dreaming:

Beings did not arise from gods, but from the earth, from nature. They were the dreamings of the first echo, the children of the multiverse - there are many on our world of Athman, and many more scattered across the multiverse. However, they learnt of the gods in their quest for understanding and saw in them the notes of the First Echo, and as such venerated them. For what is immediate, the power of the first sound, was available to those that venerated the gods. Indeed, it is said that prayers are but pieces of the first sound, as imperfect as our understanding of such things are.

The Lost Ages

Our world is old. How old? It is said to be hundreds of millions of years old. Then again that might make it young, such is the way of time. Nations, peoples and even gods, have risen and fallen, yet Athman is. Our world is living, many forget that. The lands might change, but it remembers- not just in remenants of the past but in the echoes of ourselves which is absorbed into the earth and the air, the wind and water. Indeed, the land is primary to the first echo; for there is power in it- power that none fully comprehend, power that molds and changes everyone, more than we ever change it. Remember that.
