Providence wants to pickpocket the old man, but due to new developments (i.e. his running away) it is basically impossible at this point. (If the situation changes, you might be able to try again later.) |

Providence leaves the tavern to go to the market. There, she spots the enterprising halfling that seems to handle most of the party's provisional needs these days...

After Opening the Trapped Bone Scroll Tube (Chapter 10): Providence is engulfed by a roaring explosion that she tries to avoid, but she cannot seem to move her body fast enough - time seems to slow down as the raging heat sears her limbs and the bright light blinds her eyes... The pain is horrible, and seems to continue forever, when suddenly, the pain seems irrelevant, and all becomes dark... Suddenly, Providence is overcome by a strange vertigo, and it feels like she is moving through something, but the experience is completely unlike anything she has known before... After a period of time that seems both long and instantaneous, Providence gingerly opens her eyes to find her surroundings very bleak and gray; in fact, the skies are dark and gloomy, the trees seem stunted and diseased, and horrid screams and ripping sounds echo through the polluted air. In the distance, Providence can see a gleaming tower of crystal; she also sees other people slowly walking towards it. These people seem to be human; she seems to be the only elf here. |

OOC: How many of these people does Providence see, and how far away are they?
Shivering with fear, Providence finally gathers up the courage to approach the closest of the people she sees to attempt to figure out where she is and what's going on. "Excuse me," she says meekly as soon as she's within earshot of someone. "Can you tell me where we are? I'm...very confused...I..." Her words trail off as the logic of these recent events causes her ability to think rationally to collapse. "What is that tower off in the distance?" she finally manages to ask. |

Hundreds of figures slowly move towards the crystal tower in the distance. The closest figure looks unhappy and angry. "You fool," he snarls. "We are the Faithless - our worthless fate waits for us inside that crystal tower." |

"Huh," she says to herself with a smirk, after the bitter atheist passes. "And to think, I thought me and Lathander kinda had a good thing going." Providence begins to hike in earnest towards the tower.

Providence walks slowly but surely towards the shining crystal tower; the bleak grayness of the surroundings almost seems to be sucking the color out of Providence's skin. Suddenly, Providence feels strangely lonely - the only elf in what seems to be an all-human and humanoid land - desolation strikes her and she almost stops approaching the tower. However, approaching the entrance, she looks inside - and sees someone she recognizes! Tursin! Tursin appears to be talking strongly to a strange, gray, alien-like figure with bulbous eyes who is holding a writing quill. Suddenly, the world turns upside down, and the grayness seems to leave her... Some around her notice, sighing, saying, "Lucky girl..." |
