About Our World
Specifications for S.L.A.V.E.S Specimen Locating Adjustable Vengeance Emitter System This is my most brilliant invention yet! Ah it's too bad I was forced to create it for that walking nightmare Asa Neviltis. The Specimen Locating Adjustable Vengeance Emitter System has the following capabilities.
S.L.A.V.E.S is the smallest construct ever created. With this technology all specimens can be contained, located and trained. The device has been imbued with not one, but 4 elemental beings capable of sustaining functionality for a minimum of 100 years. The device is implanted on the left breast by the delivery device. S.L.A.V.E.S then burrows to the nerves controlling the heart and attaches there. It is self defending rendering the host unconscious for any unauthorized attempt at removal. The pain impulse mechanism is fully adjustable for administering levels ranging from a small shock to completely incapacitating. Parameters for allowable movement can be set from 1'x1' to unlimited. The timer functionality allows the specimen full freedom of movement until the timer activates the device. It can also be set to deliver warning impulses when the time limit is drawing near. If a specimen is damaged in such a way that it cannot return for the designated reset of S.L.A.V.E.S, the device will sustain the life of the specimen for up to 30 days. The device is capable of being programmed to deliver punitive impulses for an unlimited time period. Last edited by Ducky; 05-21-2009 at 03:11 PM. |

Asa's Arms (As in heraldry not limbs)
Proclamation Each specialty worker in the employ of Asa Neviltis is issued standard equipment suitable to the furtherance of their assigned tasks. All equipment, armor, clothing and personnel are the sole property of Asa Neviltis. Each item is marked with the arms of the Warlord. This symbol is not to be removed under any circumstances. Punishment will be severe for any defacement, removal, vandalism or destruction of said symbol. Bearers of the Neviltis arms, are to be granted food, shelter, entertainment and complete cooperation by the people of Yalondal. Refusal to grant any demand by an agent of the warlord is punishable by immediate impalement or crucifixion. By order of Asa Neviltis, Warlord of Despair On clothing the arms are embroidered in color as shown. On armor, weapons and slaves the arms show in silhouette and are stamped or burned into the item. |

Talos
At one time Talos had been a bustling trading town between the Halfling Downs and other towns/cities to the south. However, about the time of the Oracle's death, a noble had attempted to corner the trading markets in the town and had failed against the merchants. In a fit of revenge, the noble managed to convince the King to help fund a road that traveled closer to the shore of the bay, bypassing Talos.
__________________The people of Talos are a hardy, independent lot and managed to survive the loss of the trade business. Turning more to agriculture, crafts, and most importantly weapons smithing to keep the town alive. Grant Bennet is one of the best master weapon smiths in Yalondal as was his father before him and back generations in the family line. He has been forced to make weapons for the warlord, but in his spare time, he uses any scraps available to make better weapons for use against the warlord. The townspeople have waged a campaign of passive resistance to the rule of Neviltis. Food stuffs delivered to the army are always somehow full of worms or rot, crafted items don't last very long and weapons have a tendency to fail at crucial times. Up to now it has been a balancing act between sabotage and open rebellion. There are a few shops in Talos. One is an apothecary. You don't want to buy anything from there when wearing anything with Asa's mark unless Grant or Miryam is with you. There is no shop for buying magic items although the apothecary may have some scrolls. Mundane supplies can be purchased at the Mercantile. |
