Rules & Conventions

Behavioral Rules1. Please be respectful to your fellow gamers.
2. Please do not Metagame*.
3. Make at least 1 post a day.
4. If you feel a ruling of mine is unfair, take it up with me via secret text or PM.
5. I reserve the right to change these rules. You will recieve ample notification, however.

House Rules
Called Shots
Before making an attack, a player must proclaim they are making a called shot for an area or part of the body. By taking a -4 to their attack roll, the character may aim for the arm, leg, Torso or Head/neck. By taking a -8 to the attack, they may aim for the specific portions of the body parts listed above. By taking a -16, they may aim for specific points (eyes, fingers, etc.) within the areas of body parts.

Gaming Conventions
Posting
Players are expected to make one post a day. If a post is not made 24 hours from when they last posted, they will be skipped until everyone has gone. If by that time they still have not posted I will control their character for that action. If you have not the time to post but wish to control your character, simply tell me via PM what you want them to do. I would like it if you would not abuse this option, however.

Initiative
When it comes to Initiative, I would like to have everyone roll their initiative and therefore we just play it out as normal, but the potential for this to drag out is extensive. Therefore, like with posting, you must roll your initiative in a timely manner. I wont give a time period, but if I feel it necessary I will roll it for you.

Skill Checks & DC
So you know, I am going to play in an adaptive style. That is, what you say, decisions you make, your reputation, etc. Will affect the DC of certain skill checks. This will mostly apply to the social skills such as Bluff, Diplomacy, etc.

Whether you can or cannot reroll a knowledge check will depend on the situation and purpose, but in some cases where you might just be unable to recall that bit of information needed (monster ID for a DC < 20 for example.), you can only reroll a knowledge check every twelve seconds. Every two rounds.
