Furious, yet relieved that what sounds like his family are still alive, Jezar says: "We fought in the defense of Tschetter's Jewel, and those hostages are indeed the few other survivors from there."

Jezar can't help but nod and smile slightly when Jerrod introduces him as the one who pretty much does whatever he wants. "Frequently involving mass destruction, though."

The horsemen chuckle and glance at their youngest member, who grins sheepishly as lightning crackles at his fingertips. "Yeah...me too..."

King gives a hearty laugh. "There's always one in every unit, right? Well, if there's nothing more, I think I'll be sending my men up to their rooms for a well-deserved rest. You should probably do the same...it'll be a long day tomorrow."

"Heheheh. We should do a fireballing contest one day." Jezar jokes. "Perhaps when you join us in the initial assault against their base?" he offers, thinking: 'Looks like a good guy, but he's yet to earn his balls in combat!

"Good night, guys." Jezar says as he heads up to bed.

Jerrod bade his unexpected allies goodnight, but something nagged at him. In this business, trusting anyone is liable to get you killled. He thought recalling Evelina.

Once safely out of earshot, he confided in his friends. Let's be careful about around the Farnlanders. Call me a cynic, but I doubt they sent an army that size just to bring an assassin to justice. Jerrod proposed.

"Quite possible, but right now I'm rather more concerned with saving the world than supporting the Zareen oppressors." Jezar says, raising an eyebrow, his gaze unfocused as they walked upstairs and were out of earshot. "Although that doesn't take much, since I was forcefully conscripted. The bastards threatened to harm my family if I didn't enlist."

My concern is that we'll have to save the world from them and not just a power mad lich. I couldn't care less if while they're here they decide to stay.
