Rylken's face grows serious, and he leans in close to the dwarf, turning his back to the crowd. "The voice of what I call the Buried One did not put things in quite this way, but I cannot overlook the similarities... It told me I would find a like mind here and together..." he looks cautiously around and leans in closer with a whisper, "together we will break open this world, end its current incarnation, and free the Buried One." And make me a god to serve alongside him... Rylken thinks in his head.

Terios Mal struggles to suppress a wide, toothy smile. "So you, too, have seen the Face of Phaer and heard whispered truths. Come, we must find a venue less prone to prying eyes and ears. The lie of this world is proclaimed for all the world's sons and daughters but the means of their enlightenment must remain veiled until the truth is unveiled. The light of the sun is blinding to those who live in the darkness of ignorance."

Rylken nods back to his companions, still whispering "My companions share our inclinations. The half-orc Ugbash is strong and reliable, the dragonborn Kodana claims to really be a pit fiend and whether it is true or sheer insanity, he proposed an interesting plan to keep these common folk distracted while we do our work. So, shall we? Do you have a venue in mind for the moment?"

Terios stomps his foot and pounds his fist into his open hand. "I am Terios Mal, a messenger of the Face of Phaer, a prophet of the Old Master. Come, we can speak in my quarters."

Terios will lead a winding course through the slums to the tavern where he pays for an adjacent pair of small rooms.

Rylken leans forward as he starts following the dwarf and says, "You may call me Rylken... just Rylken, though please avoid doing so loudly in the presence of nobility... a long story."

Terios's quarters are sparse. A straw mattress lies in one corner of the room and a small table with a washbasin and pitcher stands nearby. The bare, wooden floor is the only seat you will find as the dwarf flops heavily onto the bed.

"Has the Face of Phaer told you how to break open the world? It has yet to whisper any secrets of distraction to me."

Rylken sits cross-legged on the floor. "I was hoping you had an idea... the One below only told me I would find someone here to aid me."
