Skritch takes the items. She'll split them up later with the other. "Shadow is right. We don't know how much we've been slowed."

In just a few moments time, the group find themselves deep within the sewers of the city. Gigantic rats, roaches, and snakes slither and slink throughout the smelly, wet place, but they pay little attention to the goblins. As the tunnel goes deeper, it becomes more natural and less man made. This fact provides clues to its past, making it appear that the installation was once a natural cave that has become a sewer.
__________________Soon the goblins hear voices and in a deep depression within the center of the tunnel floor shines a pale blue light. |

Shadow stops North with a hand on the shoulder, and motions for the other goblins to stay where they are. He goes ahead a bit to do some recon and see what's up ahead, sticking to the shadow's he's so comfortable in and watching his footsteps so as to arouse little suspicion. For security's sake, he holds a shuriken in his hand. Who's the baddest? Shadow the baddest. he repeats his mantra over and over in his head.

North's skin is bright pink, the flames had given him second degree burns, as his arctic skin was not used to such temperatures.
"I'm not feeling so well my friends... I may have to let you face the adventurers without me, unless Skritch knows how to work that wand..." North whispered so as to avoid being heard by the voices coming from above. At least they were able to pocket some treasure from the affair... He tried to avoid feeling the pain by focusing his mind, but it was difficult. He managed to stay alert enough to keep an eye on Shadows as he investigated the voices. |

Skritch shook her head, the wand was of no use to her. A divine caster could. "Maybe Shadow knows how."

"Smack not feel good. Bad thing make Smack not feel strong." The barbarian said in confused tone of voice.

Shadow cursed under his breath. "Magic was never my greatest friend. Shall I go on ahead alone to get out information? I'm sure I can get the gates open somehow."
((Didn't we have a cleric come in somewhere?)) |

From out of the gloom in Shadow's vision he spies three kobolds and a small black dragon. The sight is astounding to him and a ripple of anxiety creeps up Shadow's spine. As he turns around, he hears the young dragon sniff a few times, and then call out to the darkness.
__________________"Even with all this sewage goblin, I can still smell you. If you are Garoot's goblins then you are welcome, we have great need of more soldiers down here, even if I do prefer sycophantic kobolds. Show yourself and report." The dragon believes Shadow to be a part of the horde outside the gates, which if Jocko succeeded, was partially true. It also seemed that Shadow found out who left the gate open. But the question remained, who was the pale one? |

Shadow stepped forward into the pale blue light, standing proud if not tall. The shuriken flashed back into it's place in his bandoleer and Shadow spoke to the dragon in a matter-of-fact voice. "I've come for the heroes holed up in this city. Garoot thought it would be best to make sure the gate was open before his attack and I thought the attack would be a good distraction. Once I get up to the town gate and get it open, I'll signal the attack. What are you doing down here?" Shadow said nothing of his comrades and nothing of the pale humanoid they had just killed. If the shaman was a friend to the dragon, he wasn't about to incite it's fury, and his party was in no shape to fight this kind of mess. If it turned ugly, he wanted to give them time to run away, or show themselves at their own leisure.

"I see. Call me Spitter. And I am down here because Garoot bartered with my mother to help him in his military endeavors. Since sacking a town is beneath her, she sent me to assist Garoot. As a reward I am to have the sewers and subterranean regions as my lair. I will also be damming up the stream and creating a swamp to better suit my tastes. These kobolds that you see here were a gift for me, for my assistance. You see even though I am a small dragon, I am still a dragon and my wrath should not be underestimated."
__________________Spitter stops talking to Shadow and switches to draconic, speaking to his kobold minions who cower before him and run about, catering to his wishes. "Now, where was I. Ah yes, I am awaiting Garoot's attack so that my minions and I may charge up from below and surprise them. I also heard a battle commencing not long ago and my guess is that you killed the pale one and his minions. I have to commend you goblins as he was a nuisance and I was close to killing him myself. If any of your number is injured, I can have some of my kobolds heal you. Two of my number are clerics and they have wands." |

Shadow motioned for his friends to move forward. No use in hiding what was already seen. "Yes, we encountered a pale caster and disposed of him. He did leave some of my friends injured, and we would much appreciate the healing. We think the heroes are in the mayor's mansion, and if we get the gate open, Garoot and his forces should be enough to deal with the guard. Perhaps the heroes would be the best target for you and your minions, strategically. They shouldn't present much of a challenge for you, but we goblins will be in that battle as well. If you have any casters in your group, a Cat's Grace or Invisibility would be highly helpful to us. Then when we open the gate and Garoot's army floods in, you and your force can strike from the sewers and catch them off guard."

Skritch listens, Shadow was doing a great job dealing with the dragon. She also was in a state of awe. Dragons were masters of magic, she idolized them. She wanted that kind of magic.

Smack moved forward with the group. Seeing the small dragon the dimwitted goblin looked at the others, then pointed at the dragon and spoke, as if informing them of what they were looking at. "Big puppy."

North felt the warmth of the kobalds' heal spells wash over him. The pinkness dissipated from his skin. He felt rejuvinated.
"You and your minions have my thanks, great one." North said bowing low to the Dragon. He revered the magical beast both for its abilities but also its intelligence and physical beauty. Dragons were known for their grace and agility as well as strength and intelligence. One of the many natural wonders they were. "Please forgive our dimwitted friend, we would never presume to think of ourselves as superior to your magnificence. If there is any further way we may be of assistance, or if you have any alterations to our plan, I'm sure we'd all be quite happy to partake of your wisdom.". Those who knew North were a bit taken aback by his gushing to the dragon. He wasn't known among his tribemates for his humility. |
