I'm sorry Jan. This is for the greater good. Frederick unbinds himself from the shaman, leaving him to his fate. He was the only one left who might be able to stop this thing, and by the Gods he will fight to his last. Filling himself with vigor, he slashes out at the monster once again. He is no warrior, but he will do whatever it takes.. |

Letting his bond with the shaman go, Frederick tried to attack the Consumer again - but still, his blade missed by an inch. He healed all the damage done to him, but even that was becoming labour some...and with the Consumer sapping his energy it would soon run out.
__________________Janssen cringed in the darkness, trying to keep the wraiths away from him, but the very air itself seemed to want to 10 necrotic (aura); 15 necrotic (ongoing); regen 15; 20 necrotic (zone); 20 necrotic (zone) Total = 50 damageeat at his flesh. He simply could not take much more. The consumer kept up his attacks, taunting the surviving party members for a while, before darting off to raise up what was left of Kriv as a third wraith. With the zones and his aura, the Consumer quickly finished off Janssen, and raised him as a mindless slave, too. With four wraiths, he was able to position them around Frederick, and leave the five to fight it out - a slow, but inevitable battle eating away at the meek saint's life force - whilst the Consumer departed, and destroyed Sada. For amusement's sake, he dragged her to her own devastating magical effect, and left her there until she collapsed. By the time he had five wraith slaves, Frederick had become shaky - his dagger did very little damage, and the wraiths seemed to heal it up too quickly for it to matter. When he realised he was the only one left, he began to pray - but not even his deity could save him from the hungry demon before him - the Consumer's piercing laugh was the last thing he ever heard, as the world finally grew dark, and cold...so cold. |
