Hey all, congratulations on being accepted.

Please post your character's here, as well as link your sheet.

Level: 1 +10xp reserve for Item Creation

Stats: +12 Character no stat above 18 or below 6 before racial mods. (14 = +2, 15 = +2.5 etc)
Books Allowed: Everything on d20srd.com except epic & psionics rules.(No Psionics at all)

A fun witty rogue, who sees the world in a different light

Reasoning: He knows reason, and he knows law, but finds them too restricting; though chaos is something that causes too much havoc and destruction. Good and Evil are two heads on the same coin, to argue such would be arguing semantics, and the only way to win that argument is to stop the other side from breathing. Sad but true. One persons hero, is another persons villain.

Background:

Parlay grew up in a medium sized house in a large city, where his mother took care of the family. Parlay had in total three brothers and sisters. That is half brothers and sisters. There were four children in all, and the result of the mixture of children as astonishing. Their mother either liked to stay culturally diverse in her bed partners, OR, was a concubine of the town for a short while, you'll see what I mean in a second.

Parlay's sisters were a Half-orc, and a Half-elf, his brother, an Aasimar. Yes a totally strange and diluted family, but all of them lived happily together. As they grew up They began to go their separate paths, and left the house in their own due time. Parlay was the youngest, and his sister Ohgra (the half0orc) The oldest, then his Brother Aaras, the Aasimar, and after Parlay, came Brill his half-elf sister. Ohgra took up the mantle of Paladin, Aaras took up the mantle of Wizard, and Brill took up the mantle of Monk. All of whom had respectable positions in the city, and were well on their way to persuing a career. Parlay was of course the black sheep and decided that he would put his skill to use for fun. Much to his mothers dismay, as Parlay would have made an excellent future spy, or other such occupation, had he put his mind to it.

Had he put his mind to it, Parlay would have been able to do quite a bit with his life. Nice house, a family perhaps, but instead he traveled and left to see the world for what it was. This is how he got on in this little job to the Gates of Chaos, see money did not grow on trees, and as easy as it was to play eat or be eaten, he didn't like the inside of a cell to much; as he had been there many a time before. So he hopped on with this job; deciding that since he had never seen the Gates of Chaos before, that it would be a worth while trip, and 50 gold for a wagon ride was a cake walk.

Personality:

Parlay is a nice witty person, always willing to add in his two bits and try to make light of most all situations. Though some look down on his certain set of skills and talents he tells them that one must use what they were given with to pursue a life that makes them happy. That is how he lives. Due to his Laid back personality (often too laid back) Parlay has very relaxed views on the world, and claims that good and evil are lines that are too blurred to be told apart.

Physical Description:

The young tiefling stands about 5' 8 and looks more so than not, like his blood is tainted by an infernal creature. Reddish tinted skin, pointed canine teeth (which can't be seen when he talks normally), a tail with a pointed end of course, and most notably a pair of small twisting horns protruding from his forehead. His feet are cloven hooves, the clicking sound heard by most hooves is not present as he does not wear "horse-shoes". He dresses in nicely crafted leather armor that has a banded look to it, for maneuverability, and functionality, it also looks pretty neat (according to Parlay)

Future goals:

Parlay wishes to one day be able to put his skills to use for something worth while, but more notably he wishes to do something note-worthy. Something bards will sing about for years to come, something wizards will write about in their books for decades, and something the monks, clerics, and paladins will see in all characters like Parlay, for eons to come.

Background: Syra is from a gypsy family, and she grew up on the road, learning her trade from her parents. She always believed she could hear spirits speaking with her, and this facet of her life grew stronger with the passing years and the horrors of war. More and more she began to dwell in her own world and hold conversation with spirits, growing ever more distracted as the years passed. Finally, her inattention led to an ambush by orcs, and her family was killed. She apprenticed herself at a monastery, penniless, but was kindly taken in. She managed to put her talents to use, and became a promising disciple. Still, the tenents of her religion dictate that she not remain in the temple forever, but travel the world doing what good she can.

Personality: Syra is now attentive and careful, generally trying to help her fellow creatures and doing so with a sense of humor. Behind this learned behavior, though, lurks tremendous sadness at the loss of her family and her futile attempts to become truly happy. She acts only out of a sense of benevolence and duty, gaining little satisfaction for herself.

Physical Description: Syra is a bright young woman, of dark hair and brown eyes, who generally wears a faint smile and tends to laugh at her own jokes. Physically she is frail and unassuming.

Future goals: She would like to complete her training, convinced that she will know when this has been accomplished, and pass on the teachings of the spirits to another. She does not worship a particular deity, but believes that everything alive has a spirit and that by communing with these spirits, one brings forth aspects of oneself. This can be channeled into magic.

Special Reason to Open the Gate at Darr: Opening the gate is something she has dreams about- sometimes nightmares- and she is sure that it will contribute to her understanding of herself and the world around her. Practically, she believes opening the gates and protecting them will help the races of the world communicate and be unified, preventing war and allowing them to help each other in times of trouble.

Alignment: True Neutral, but, depending on the parties decisions, he could become good/evil, lawful/chaotic

Background: He lived with his family all of his young life, in a rather secluded forest deep within the Elven lands, and was cared for well by his mother and father. However, the Great War occurred when he was just a young soul, years until he was to become a fully-fledged adult. Their god had abandoned them. His mother was killed, and his fathers body was never found, he still holds hope of seeing him again. So he grew up hating the gods, men, and even other Elves. In time, his anger faded, as did his youth. Now an elf of 120 years, his past is now well and truly behind him, and though he now no longer has any hate left for gods and men, he still distrust them. He learnt the ways of the bow during the war. He never knew when or where his next meal would come from, so it always helps to have a back up plan when you run out of bread and grubs. Thanks to this skill he can now gain work protecting caravans, customers, and, sometimes attacking other caravans.

After the war, there was only one thought in his mind. Revenge on the god who had given up on his village and family. He searched for clues to his whereabouts all over the land, his anger pushing him forward everyday. Then he came to an old battlefield. Most of the corpses had been buried or burnt, but at this time there were more important tasks to be done than seeing to the countless dead. Rebuilding the ruined city a little to the north for example. Still, someone had taken the time to erect a small sign, a memorial, on the edge of the field. It said: “The War of the Gods claimed many. In this battle, IrminLeahl, God of hunters and marksmen, was destroyed, along with several hundred of his followers. Remember them.” At this moment, all of his anger and hate disappeared, as he knelt by the sign. The god was long gone. All of his trouble and pain had been for nothing, but rather than feeling angry or frustrated, he felt relived. All of his hatred had evaporated, and he knew that there was no point in throwing your life away after revenge.

Personality: Happy most of the time, but deadly serious when he is angered or faced with danger. He does not mind any race over much, and gets along with dwarves, unlike most of his race. Here are some words which describe him better. Cheerful, optimistic, quick to anger, contemplative, enjoys stories.

Physical Description: Very young, and a typical angled elven face. Blue eyes, dark brown hair and wears comfortable leather armour. Often smiles. His hight is about… 5’ 8‘’, and lean, like the rest of his race.

Future goals: At the moment, his main goal is to get by, have fun, and pass time. But, in his heart, he know he want to look for his lost father.

Okay, I hope I got the gold bit right.
