the dragon or the player? haha. its a wyrmling. ...but seriously... if you are gonna claim something like that in an ECL7 game where a very limited amout of books are allowed for use... you should probably check with the DM first.

It's always fun to see someone try and get some kind of leg up in game by using a awkward background.

I think it more likely the player had a great character in their head but had no idea who the character actually was.
