Power Love has the ability to make someone fall in love. Love can't specify how much in love the target becomes, the duration of the effect, or who (or what) the object of affection will be. It's possible that the target will develop a lifelong enjoyment of spinach just as it's possible that she will fall passionately in love with a sworn rival, though the former is much less likely. The object of affection must be someone or something the target has experienced within the past half hour. There is a small (<5%) chance that the target will instead develop an antipathy towards the object of equal strength and duration as the affection would have been. Love cannot be the target of this effect. Also, each time Love uses this power, there is a small (<5%) chance that Love will develop an apathy for something once favored or detested.

Personality There's nothing Love likes more than to play matchmaker. Love is an outgoing charismatic individual who uses this power freely upon those Love counts as friends, hoping to draw them into close relationships with each other. The less likely the pairing and the stronger the affinity, the more pleased Love is with the result. This is Love's one constant joy. As much as Love talks, things of a personal nature are never shared. Indeed, it's quite possible that Love doesn't actually have any likes or dislikes remaining that could be shared with others. Love is always trying new things. Because Love constantly loses affection for things, new sensations give Love a new chance to enjoy things, or even to dislike them.

Recent History Having just gotten very lucky and made two friends who previously despised one another fall hopelessly in love with each other, the two were off honeymooning after a very short engagement (hopefully the honeymoon would be longer!), and Love was left alone. Alone was not how Love liked to be. Therefore, Love went out into town, vowing to use the power upon the next individual Love saw. The unfortunate target was Baron Bill, a merchant who seemed to control all trade in town with his power to predict when and where caravans would arrive and leave. Having known that a silk caravan was about to depart for the distant city of Clovenport, Baron Bill had just made a deal, via magical communication, with a merchant lady of that city. Immediately meeting Love, Baron Bill became hopelessly in love with the merchant he'd just been speaking with, and resolved to meet her. Finding Love to be handy, he requested accompaniment on his journey (though perhaps traditional magic aided in that spontaneous decision), and Love could not resist the temptation. A whole city of people that didn't know how much in love they could be! And also, a chance to travel through uncivilized lands with a silk caravan. The entire deal was too much, and Love agreed. And so, traveling with Baron Bill in the midst of a silk caravan (the texture of such fabric Love found enjoyable) in the middle of uncivilized lands is where Love Alvinsen is now found.

Physical Description 5' 7", Love is very tall for an elf. Androgynous in appearance, with thin limbs and gaunt physique. With the dark hair and pale skin of elven-kind, Love is distinguished with waist-length tresses constantly done up in outrageous styles. Love wears a golden ring shaped in the form of several interlocking rings on the left hand, though Love doesn't particularly care for it.

Well, in description of your power I don't think it's entirely necessary to keep up with the secret text. The other PCs will figure it out soon enough!

I anticipate Love's power has the capability to affect other PCs, but this should not be overemphasized, at the risk of turning the storyline into an episode of Jerry Springer.

Naturally, things like duration and save DCs will be kept behind the DM screen. This is what I've been doing for all the players, so don't feel as if I'm singling you out - part of it is that your power has a very abstract effect, which makes it difficult to quantify in terms.

As you level up, you may gain greater control over certain areas of your power - these are things we will work on together, for example if you wanted to have better control over the targets of your powers, I'm fine with that. But if you wanted to remove the Will save to avoid the effects, that's not quite so understandable. (Again, a good rapport between you and I about the power will help to keep everything clear.)

For now, I'm a little unclear on how often you anticipated using the power - I expect that the duration would last something around a week for an average peasant (there will be a cascade of Will saves over a time period, at least that's what I envision) and you'd be able to activate it, perhaps once every day or so?
