Danle - A History

DANLE - Origins
The Humans are dead. Extinct. More importantly, only a incredibly small fraction of a smaller fraction of them that appear in most other worlds even existed. Humans had recently started acting more sentient, and were just leaving the cavemen ages. They were building farms and the like.

However at this pivotal point of existence, the Elves, Eladrin, Dwarves and Dragonborn were convinced that the Humans would end up with evil motives in the future. The Sentients, a collective name for those who had deemed themselves of that intelligence, decided to kill the Human race.

The crops were burned down, the homes collapsed, and the Humans stabbed or tortured then stabbed. Horrible things happened those days, and by the end of it all Humans were dead except those who had sold their souls to demons in order for survival. Those Humans, now living only borrowing their souls for the rest of their lives, doomed never to see a afterlife, became Tieflings, after whatever hideous things the demons did to them. As well as the Tieflings, Half-Elves began to prop up over the area, as well as Half-Orcs (keep in mind this WAS one of the Human's earlier years, they weren't even considered sentient yet, half-sentient as most...). No one knows the origin of the Half-Elves, but Half-Orcs were born by an attempt by some Humans to save their bloodline.

The Half-Elves and Half-Orcs showed some grudging familiarity with eachother, but both species disliked the Tieflings, due to their origins. Over time all three of these races became fully sentient and over more time still eventually grew to live with the other species without total wars between them. The Tieflings remained in the dark, and though fully accepted as Sentients, they stayed there. Hiding in the shadows, building forbidden cities. The original Sentients had made these Human offspring have the dark and evil motives they were afraid of.

As for the other Human offspring, though they live in mild peace, they are constantly under suspicion by the other races, and, as a result, vice versa.

Over this time another race grew in intelligence, the Goblins. They were mainly neutral, though they slightly preferred Half-Elves, Half-Orcs and to a lesser extent, Tieflings. In many ways, the Goblins became like the Humans, as the Goblins quickly adapted to each environment. Hobgoblins remain wild, however, and will attack most things if provoked. If they are attacked and they don't fight back, they will run. Flight or Fight instinct.

As for the Orcs, they were murdered shortly after Humans, and never had their time either. No one cared. No one cares still.

As was told by a wise mage: “Killing means never having to say you’re sorry.” He liked to set people's heads on fire.

DANLE - The King and Kingdom of Nasinral
The Kingdom of Nasinral was, and still is, a Kingdom located in the grasslands of Danle. Long ago it was the foundation of the destruction of Humans and Orcs, with the land was ruled by the dreaded King Live Eurt.

Eurt started the fear campaign against the Humans, and later the Orcs. It could be said that Eurt was responsible for it all, but that… that would be a lie. There is no doubt that the other races would eventually attack the Humans anyway, Eurt was merely the trigger. He was, nevertheless, quite bad. Whether he was evil is up to debate, as many find the term ‘evil’ debatable. However, it was is actions that most likely fall under the term that made him world renowned as a hero.

One day a wizard came. An Elven Wizard with terrible accuracy to tell the truth. Knowing the wizard’s terrible accuracy, Live Eurt accepted the challenge Arinsas proposed to him. This challenge was a duel… a duel for the title of King. Arinsas started first.

He missed.

And then Eurt knocked Arinsas out in a single hit. There then came a choice, end the duel now with Arinsas unconscious, or kill him and make the battle to the death. Eurt chose to make it to the death.

Some have speculated that a god opposed to death, from perhaps an alternate world, so close to ours that it could be an alternate timeline, had for some reason, out of all the people in the world, enough connection to Arinsas in particular to stop him fully dying, despite the lack of existence in this world. This has been put down as insane.

Though, for whatever reason, Arinsas stood up. He’d survived. Eurt killed him again, just for Arinsas to pop up again. Eventually Eurt grew too tired and Arinsas easy killed the King, and replaced him.

Arinsas was a nicer King than Eurt, depending on your definition. Due to the long lifespan of Elves, by this time we were in the modern date, and King Arinsas is still going strong. He allowed Drow to join the Kingdom, and proceeded to improve education and social rights, as well as lowering punishment for crime (which mostly consisted of being scolded, tortured then hanged for stealing a really small apple). On his throne he has had little time to practice his physical abilities, but his knowledge, intelligence and wisdom has increased so drastically from his resources as King and his long time spent studying them that he is akin to a, in the words of Drahcir, a member of the Drow species who moved to the Kingdom once Arinsas allowed Drow to join the Kingdom, “a really really powerful wizard guy”. Drahcir then proceeded to play with an oddly hand-shaped puppet.

DANLE - On the Origin of Dryads
The Dryads were originally normal Half-Elves. They were, however, some of the worst Half-Elves in existence. Every Tuesday they would rape/murder/slaughter Elves to reproduce/rebel against the Elves/have fun. Eventually the Elves and some other Half-Elves united, and murdered in their sleeps.

However, they came back. There's a reason Death removed the rolling system, too many bad guys came back. Eventually the god Torm binded their souls to trees, stopping their onslaught. Occasionally when a tree was destroyed a lesser one could escape and attack in rage, but would eventually dissolve into nothingness after this. Should, however, too many trees be destroyed, there would be a risk of many Greater Dryads escaping, and they would unleash into this world, and head to wherever there were the most people together. Currently that place would be the capital of Danel...

Nasinral.
