This timeline will hopefully give you a good idea of the chronology of our story. Please refer to this often when confused about important historical events, and for possible plot hooks.

Approx. 100,000,000,000 Years before Part 1 - Eos only continent Pangaea emerges from the oceans and life first begins on the planet's surface.

100,000,000 Years before Part 1 - The first dinosaurs walk the planet

3,000 Years before Part 1 - Man first appears on Pangaea's southern tip.

1,000 Years before Part 1 - The tribes of man multiply and migrate across the surface of Pangaea.

500 Years before Part 1 - The civilizations that would become the Southern and Eastern provinces begin to form.

200 Years before Part 1 - Dinosaurs are first domesticated by man for use first in farming and labour, then later as instruments of war.
-The outbreak of the First Saurian War between the South and East.

Approx. 100 Years before Part 1 - The Western Province is first formed.
-Dinotopia becomes the center of commerce and culture in the East.

55 Years before Part 1 - Tensions between the East and West reach a boiling point over on-going border disputes. The West forges an alliance with the Southern tribes to protect them from being annexed by the East.
- The Eastern fiefdoms declare war on the West.
- The South declares war on the East.
- The Second Saurian War begins.

Approx 5 Years before Part 1 - The last surviving Southern chieftan surrenders on the bridge of the airship Humana, ending the Second Saurian Warm after fifty years of bloody conflict and millions of lives.
-Poor living conditions in the South following the East's scorched earth tactics promote the spread of a new disease, which quickly claims the lives of twenty five thousand Southerners in the first three months. Carried North and West by returning soldiers and refugees, the sickness rapidly reaches epidemic proportions.

0 Years before Part 1 - 10% of Pangaea is infected with Jungle Rot. Scientific minds from all across the planet scramble to discover a cure that could stem the tide of the epidemic.
-Dr. Yanus Faroukee, a well-renowned biologist and dinosaur expert from Dinotopia claims to be devising an expedition with the intention of finding such a cure. A call has gone out to all able-bodied adventurers, or those who are familiar wth geography, the sciences, or engineering to join.
-In the West, government has all but collapsed, and Eastern interests have turned also to stabalizing the province, still rife with political enemies and hostile insurgents. Soldiers are in short supply after the war, and the local barracks are always accepting new mercenaries.
