Valencia spoke up once more. "When you were called to me you had a dream. A dream of two swords that you had never seen before and yet you recognized them instantly. These were the swords wielded by The Peacebringer. But they are much more than that. These swords were crafted by Ao himself, under the direction of the being of light. To what end I do not know. I am known as "The First", and I am a divine blade of light and goodness.
__________________The man you believed to be my grandfather is called "The Final", and he is an arcane blade of darkness and evil. Neither of us know our true purpose. If I had to guess though I believe we are the endtimes. Meant to bring about a "resetting" of the universe." Valencia takes a breath and sighs. "But my speculations are irrelevant. All I know is that right now I feel it is my duty to restore the divine, any way I can." Suddenly Richard drops to his knees, his eyes glowing with a brilliant white light. The stain of Valencia's blood on his arm also glows, and seems to seep into the man's flesh. Richard starts to speak in tongues and look up into the sky. Valencia watches curiously as Richard does this. Once the glowing stops she speaks up. "It would seem we have an ex-celestial in our presence. You must have been quite pious indeed for the divine to welcome you back so fully." |

Richard tries to stand then collapses at Valencia's feet. "Forgive me, m'lady. I knew not..." He trails off as he looks up at her, then with conviction: "I pledge my protection over you, Lady Valencia, against all forces of darkness. May Pelor bless my blade in your service as well as his."

"Well, that's new and our problem about him is solved. Can we focus on the issue of keeping Valencia safe?" Tsuki inquired. She offered a hand to Richard. He would be very little help on the ground.

Chisel nodded. "We should start moving then," he said. "I have some doubt our new friend is the only agent hired to get us."

"Tuck my clothes into my pack, tie it and then tie it and my bow to me after I've changed. Please," Tsuki said. Her words were directed more towards Chisel or Richard than Nekiset or Valencia because she was pretty sure that either of them could lift her pack more easily than the two women. Request given, the weretiger assumed her full tiger form, shedding her dress as she went. Once fully changed, she waited patiently for one of her companions to do as she requested.

"I think we should get some rest, then discuss what we are going to do further. I still want to know much, much more before I truly pick my actions and my side in all this, but this isn't really the time and place to have that discussion." Nekiset spun her staff in her hand and slipped it into a pair of loops in her pack clearly meant to hold it, keeping it secure and out of the way for the moment. "I can create a place for us to rest that should be safe from nearly anything, or we could go back to town and take some rooms at the inn until we determine a course of action. After resting, we might want to make our way to the capital; whatever we decide to do, the resources available there will likely be a boon."

"You all may do as you please. Going to the capital sounds like it would be a good first step though."As she said this she knelt down beside Tsuki and began to do as she requested. Having a little trouble with it but managing to get the gear comfortably tied to Tsuki. After she was done she reached out and gave Tsuki a couple pats on the head before pulling back with a quick, "Oh no I forgot, sorry Tsuki. You used to like that." She stood up and brushed the dirt off of her increasingly tattered dress. "My but this will take some getting used to. We should depart, I'd rather deal with assassins than assassins and wildlife."

Nekiset nods a bit. "Back to town, then. We will secure lodgings at the inn, get some rest, then set out for the capital." She states it flatly, in her 'I'm completely used to giving orders' voice, and turns and heads back to town without awaiting any further discussion on the matter. Once she enters town, she searches around, looking for an inn or other reasonable place to stay.

I really must talk to her. Otherwise we'll end up butting heads eventually, Tsuki thought. She stayed next Valencia the entire way back to the village. After they obtained a place to stay, she shifted into her spiritfolk form. "We need to talk," the lycanthrope stated to Nekiset. "Please don't assume that I will follow your orders. I'm too wild to follow someone simply because they basically tell me that I must or act as though I must."
__________________Her little bit of a rant done, Tsuki makes sure her dress is tied tightly about her. "Now, if you'll keep Valencia safe, I'm going to go sell my bow, try to find something to replace it and hopefully pick up a few other odds and ends." She waited for Nekiset's reply. Once arrived in his inn room, Chisel settled down and relaxed. He set his packs and armor aside. Due to his nature, he never needed to sleep, but he welcomed much needed rest and meditation.
