Eli Follows Drake through the tomb but seems distant and lost in thought as the walk, I am pledged to serve the Pelor....I am honor bound to serve the church and my Elders...A mere cleric has no right too question the intentions of the Church, no right to confront A Bishop...Yet A holy man should root out evil regardless of where it grows... Drakes words seem to snap Eli out of his haze for a moment but the Cleric only offers a weak smile and nod saying It would be my honor to tell you of Pelor, sometime.... The brief moment of near cheer in the mans eyes is quickly replaced by one of worry as Eli once more slips into the recesses of his mind. I too shall be "looking into the church".... though to do so I risk being stripped of my clerical position... Pelor light my path, I am in need of your guidance is needed more than ever.

The group presses through the halls, past the monument to Kord, and the littering of zombie remains, ashe and blood, as well as the dead bodies of the original party...Kevdak the half-orc, and Nekor the elven mage. The fallen steel jail door marks the resting place of Nilheim, the halfling.

There is a circular slot carved into the floor by the door, with a threaded interior. It is about 3 inches in diameter. Last edited by Causa; 12-25-2010 at 07:59 AM. |

Drake breathes in some of the fresh air coming through the gate. Ahh fresh air. It will be nice to sleep in a bed and take a nice bath. My Lady the key please so we may vacate this place. As Drake is saying this he looks at Eli and sees the trouble on his brow. I know that I have not known you for long Eli but I am here to help you. You were quick to help me when I was a stranger in there trapped and I shall also be quick to help take the burden off of your mind. Let me know what troubles you friend.
Drake looks to Eli and waits for the princess to produce the key to the exit. |

The Princess digs through her pack and produces the key for the guardsman. She tries to seem unaffected by the fact that the burglar remains in the armor of her ancestors. They all might not have been perfect, but the did their best and protected this land and the people who still live off it. This is the repayment those who died before him get..........scavenger. She waits for the guardsman to open the gate before proceeding.

Drake nods to the princess as he takes the key. Thank you my Lady. We shall be out of here in no time.
Drake inserts the key into the circular slot in the door and attempts to unlock it. |

Eli give Drake a warm smile, looking the man straight in the eye Pelor is kind indeed to have supplied such company in a place like this... Thank you drake, though your blood may not claim it, Never have I meet a more knightly companion... but the trouble of my mind shall have to remain just that "my trouble", untill I can look into a few things...I promise I will explain when I can. Eli takes a deep breath of the air outside, Now lets see about opening this blasted door, I no longer wish to remain hidden from the sun in this foul place. Eli watches hopefully as Drake uses the key, The man's demeanor seems to have improved yet it is clear he is still troubled. It will do no good to spout conspiracy yet... First I must be sure of what i suspect or else I shall have committed blasphemy, if indeed I have not already.

As the group moves from the Mausoleum, the broken remains of the undead skeletons are still strewn along the steps and the gravel pathway out of the fenced in yard. The party retraces the steps of the orignal group, along the edge of the cliff, to the stone stairway that spirals up the side of the island, to the Palace proper. The halls are eerily silent and empty...odd for the afternoon, even at this late hour in the day. The group reaches the Throne Room, with King Morhion (Aoibheann's father) holding a small court. Drake seeing that the King is busy with his court will wait towards the back of the room. He whispers to the others, "It's best we stay back here that council seems important. It was strange how empty the Palace was though. What do you guys think?"
Drake then sets to looking around to make sure that there is no trouble afoot. |

Aoibheann knowing she is welcome anywhere in the castle enters the room, back straight and proper. Although she is dirty and a bit disheveled she has the appearance of a Princess. She approaches the gathering and sits in her appointed seat near her father, folding her hands neatly in her lap.
