I just altered my character sheet, dropping the Use Rope for Intimidate. It's more my character. I'm really thinking of going 3 levels of Ranger, and then picking up the rest Barbarian. If you don't want that change, which I included in my intimidate roll, then I only have a +4 modifier and rolled a total of 24, not 26.

Info Name: Arailt Age: 23 Race: Human Class: Ranger level 1 Gender: Male Alignment: Neutral Good

Bio Arailt had lived in Haven's Hold all his short life. He worked with his father on the farm, working out a very meager living. He had always been interested in the faeries and would often make trips, much to his fathers dismay, into the forest to try to spot the faeries. Once, he came back, claiming to have seen one of the creatures for himself. He became the laughing stock of the town. No one, not even his own father believed him. He was last seen by his family at the age of 18, when he disappeared into the woods saying that he would come back with proof or not at all. Not much else after this point is known about him.

Description Arailt is wiry and muscular. The life of his fathers farm, and that of living in the forest, have taught him the value of work. He will not serve a lazy master, and expects all to pull their weight as best they can. This is not to say that he is incapable of charity, it simply means that he expects those he helps to be grateful. He is slightly disappointed in humanity ever since his self imposed banishment. He wears his dark red hair in a long plait down his back, and his eyes are an emerald green. He stands at 5' 10" weighing 183 lbs.

Personality Arailt is wary of those around him. He felt betrayed by his father and village when they did not believe him about the faeries. He is strong willed and incredibly stubborn. He prefers to be around animals rather than people, making his "banishment" into the woods not too unpleasant. He will work with people, as long as they are willing to accept his strange ways.

Xor. Couple things about your character since you werent around earlier.

you only have the minimum amount of gold. not max. i think rangers are 60g iirc.

also you have 1 bonus language to pick from your Int score being 13.

also dont forget you have to pick a diety by 4th lvl since you cast divine spells.

I noticed two other things I caught on your sheet that you should fill in when you get the chance:

Please fill in the weight for your short sword.

Please allocate skill points (28 total by my reckoning).

I have made the corrections to my sheet. The only question I have is didn't I buy my starting equipment with the 60gp? That is how I decided what gear to get (shortbow instead of longbow) Sorry if this is a simple question, but honestly I have never played D&D before other than games such as NWN and NWN2

I didn't actually check your equipment costs and remaining gold--my mistake!

-Your equipment adds up to just a little under 60gps according to my quick mental math (6d4X10 GP for a ranger=60 gps, so Scald was right about that). So you got this part right.

-Just be sure to subtract the equipment costs from your starting gold to calculate how much cash you have left.

-Don't worry about selecting a deity right away--we can always RP that down the line if you prefer. Plenty of weeks and months left till 4th level.

Ain't nothing wrong with getting your start on NWN--that's a damn fine game! Nice job on your (first?) character for "real" DnD (or the next best thing).
