I am seconding this opinion.

I just installed it and started learning how to use it about a week ago. They have a lot of documentation, including some video tutorials that make using it very easy to get into.

There is also a link on their webpage somewhere to a torrent file with 2 gigs of categorized images and backgrounds to use on your maps.
