Killing the dealer should be left as a likely contingency, but we should try not to do so unless absolutely unavoidable. He may have unseen backers or superiors that would come after us for reprisal." |

"I wasn't actually," Zatrel says to Pelon. "I had merely intended to bet on the races. Of course should a swoop fall into our laps I'd be more than happy to pilot it."
Zatrel chuckles at the conversation. "Are you sure you two should really be talking about this sort of thing?" he asks to the two Jedi. "Isn't all this bad Mojo for you?" The few Jedi Zatrel had ever met in his life had always seemed to have a glowrod shoved up their backsides. |

"Trying to keep the good mojo nearly got us all wiped out," Malcolm said quietly, giving a shake of his head. "There's a stage where fighting fire with fire is the only way forward and I reached that stage around the same time the Empire killed my master."

"I see," Zatrel says. "Well, if you guys think gambling is a little too risky, then I suppose we could always take the old fall back of bounty hunting. I'm sure somebody on this rock has people they want found." taking a drag of his cigarra, Zatrel looks around. "Course the downside to that, is that most of the legal bounties have to go through Imperial channels."

"Then we take on the less-legal ones," Malcolm replied, leaning against a nearby wall and closing his eyes. "So long as it's people wanted alive...Unless it's an Imperial in my way, I'd like to leave as few bodies behind as possible."

"We bring the underbelly wherever we go. For better or for worse, like it or not, we have become a 'criminal organization'. We should acknowledge that, and use it to our own ends. I'm surprised to say that i approve of the bounty hunting suggestion, although i too of course want to keep to Malcom's conditions. This way we will be able to gain resources, connections, and maybe allies."

Zatrel shrugs his shoulders, and says with a grin, "I wouldn't be where I am right now, if I balked at the prospect of operating 'outside the law' as you might call it."
"Alright, then," he says to the others, extinguishing his cigarra in a nearby ashtray. "Now we just need to find a broker..." Looking around the table, Zatrel sighs. If none of them had known how to contact an arms dealer, then the odds of any one in the group just knowing a broker for the Bounty Hunter's Guild was unlikely. "Alright, wait here." With that, Zatrel rises from the table they were sitting at and navigates through the bar, giving a few of the waitresses a friendly smile as he passes by them. Coming up to the bar, Zatrel smiles, an orders another drink. When the bartender sets the drink down in front of him, Zatrel nods in thanks. "Hey, I imagine you keep well informed," he says with a smile. "You know any place a guy can get some work. Particularly of the 'locate and retrieve' variety." |
