Gestiil hands the gadget to the shopkeeper with a smile and follows him down the ally to his store.

Katar watched as the man started to leave. It made sense. The caller really was in a foreign world society-wise. It would have been foolish to think that he could have just shown up in town and stay in an expensive room at the inn would go unnoticed by those in the know. A lesson he would remember for the future. As it was he had two choices. He could eat his meal and wait to see what happens next with his mysterious savior or he could try to escape by fighting his way past a rather large Ronso. Katar took a bite of the food. Now was not the time to fight. Not if he wanted some answers. Plus it was far easier to let things play out before taking action if he was to take the proper action that was.

"And what should happen if I were to get caught," Gestiil asked as he looked at the map that was handed to him. "I highly doubt it would be good for you if I were to tell them why I was there. Is this place well guarded? Or perhaps there is a time of day or night that things are unguarded?" Gestiil was a gambler through and through of course, but even he knew that luck could only carry someone so far. He preferred to 'stack his deck' as others would say.
After the engineers' reply, Gestiil continued, "How long do I have to complete this task for you? I am a busy man and had planned on leaving the city come sunrise tomorrow." |

Thinking on this, Nar'estahl turned to the red haired man, shrugged and said quietly, "Looks like he's a bit timid with you here, would you be willing to let me talk to 'em a bit more, by myself?" He gave a subtle glare, and with this, a living glow of energy came to life in the Nu Mou's eyes.

Without a word, Aegro threw the hood of his cloak up and hid his sword in its folds. He signaled Rift to heel at his side with a quick gesture of his hand. With that he walked out the door, feeling alone with his brooding thoughts.

With nothing more to do than wait Katar continued to eat the meal laid out for him. The caller took the strange vial laid out for him and examined it for a moment. So far his benefactor had shown no intention of harming him. On the contrary, he had been more than generous in his attempts to help the young man. Katar took a drink of the vial and soon found himself drinking the entire vial. Soon all of his fatigue and pain began to disappear. In fact Katar felt as good as new all of the sudden.

Gestiil bowed and said, "Very well. I shall depart at once." He left the little shop they had been in and set out for his new destination. It didn't take long to reach the place. He looked around to see if anyone was watching as he got closer to the building. He was hoping to sneak around the back to the cellar door with out being noticed.
Once he got to the cellar he was able to see that the lock indeed was in quite a bad state and would easily break. He took the wrench out and gave the lock a solid hit. |

Aegro eyed Griff appraisingly. Deciding to make the best of the situation he had been forced into, Aegro walked over to the table and popped a couple pieces of cheese into his mouth, grabbed a goblet and poured himself some wine. After taking a whiff he sipped at the wine. "A good vintage eh Griff? Hope you don't mind if Rift joins us at the table, he has a taste for fine cheeses."
Aegro made a quick hand gesture, and Rift jumped up onto the table and began feasting noisily. |

Katar looked up at the newcomer and his... pet? For lack of a better word considering that a wolf was not a standard companion for most people. He took another bite of food and the realization that he was no longer in a civilized setting took hold. After all, no one let's there animals climb upon the table during a meal. It was uncouth to say the least. The woman who had brought this ruffian mentioned the name Ferric. So that was the name of his mysterious host. At least he assumed it was.
"Perhaps you can get your dog off the table," Katar spoke up, "It really is rude toward both the guests and the host." |

Nar'estahl watched as the door closed and turned to address the captive. "Now, we've got some privacy. Let's have it then. Our situations are not dissimilar, the difference being the place where our loyalties lie. You were brought here because you were snooping around, as was I, albeit for different reasons. Also like you, I am not entirely at liberty to walk out of here on my own volition. You could work with me to get out of this mess or, I could leave here and then you're back at the mercy of our host." At this, he gestured towards the door and shrugged. "What will it be good sir?"
