Name: Vernistaadt
__________________Age: 117 Race: Tiefling Exaltation: Vampire Background: Vernistaadt has had, shall we say, and interesting life. He was born Human, he'll admit that- the product of a female bandit queen and one of her underlings, both more bored then anything they way he tells it. The tiefling status came from stealing the wrong wizard's magic jewels and the nastiness that ensued. The vampirism came after a night of drinking and womanizing on Necrosura, which was admittedly probably not the smartest thing he'd ever done. The plus side to being a thief among wizards and ancient beings of great mystical power is you get all sorts of cool toys, and a chance to study them. Magitek is something that has really ran away with him, and he has dual pistols to prove it. Now-a-days he works freelance, mostly to troubleshoot things for clients between heists- and he wouldn't have it any other way. Except for the 'no beaches unless at night' thing. Kind of annoying really. Currently, Vern's status as the 'least wangsty intelligent undead' seems to have earned him a place as First Mate on the Pallas Athena. Whose captain is a worshiper of Slaanesh. A male kobald worshipper of Slaanesh, granted- but it's a start. An eternity of boozing it up and partying down through space? Yes, please. Characters Strengths: Vern does have some sort of sense of honor, if bizarre at times. When it comes to problems he tends to take an almost engineering approach of 'whatever works'. Has excellent improvisational skills and thinks on his feet very well. He is also good at playing against type, one would think being turned into a Tiefling and then an Undead would sour one's disposition but he seems to be enjoying himself overall. Personality Flaws That Causes Problems: Vern is very lively for an undead. This causes problems of it's own that normally aren't seen in vampires centuries older, and some that you wouldn't expect at all. The only part of being undead that really seems to have stuck to his personality is the knowledge that he can't father children without magical help, for example- so he can chase skirts with that much more recklessness. He also has authority issues, as he knows he'll outlive any authority figure they throw at him and most governments to boot. Being undead, he supposedly has an instinctual hatred and irrational urge to destroy all life. Supposedly. Maybe he's a little more violent then he should be but that seems to be about it. Whether these cause problems for him or for the group vary by situation. Socially, Vern is a sucker for pretty faces and taking toward authority figures- even when he shouldn't. Like nuns, or princesses, or throwing jabs at kings and lords, et cetera. There's also the whole 'undead' thing. He doesn't do well with direct Sunlight for example. And he does light up like a christmas tree with Undead Detection effects. Last edited by GleefulNihilism; 02-29-2012 at 11:31 PM. |

I'll throw in. Sure.Name: Juan Steel Race: Tiefling Exalted: Chosen of Saint Cuthbert Class: Sell-Steel / Outcast Appearance: Juan is thin with wavy bond hair that he keeps cut trim and short in a cut that frames his face and extends halway down his face on one side. Juan has demonic eyes that fluctuate inconsistently between red and orange like fire. Juan tends to wear full tuxedos. Well, he wears them almost exclusively if he isn't in disguise. He also wears sunglasses at all times to disguise his demonic features. Unfortunately, Juan's other deonic tell is less easy to hide. His mouth is full of multiple layers of razor sharp teeth and his tongue is black and parsed. This is unfortunate because Juan is quite the talker, and when he talks his heritage becomes clear. Still, Jaun is a sharp dresser and manages himself as well as he is able. After all, if you are representing a god, the least you can do is look professional. Background: Stay cool. Keep it under control. Don't loose control. Don't kill everyone here. Recite the laws. Recite the laws. Recite the laws. Good, eveythings under control. Now kill everyone. My name is Juan Steel, and I am one badass angel of justice. You don't know me? Relax. You shouldn't. I am nobody to nobodies. Only people who matter know me, and only then when it's too late. You see even good guys need to get their hands dirty, and me? I'm the best. You see people in this world have a whole hell of a lot of flaws, but one worse than the rest. They've convinced themselves that they believe that there's gods. That's gods plural. They don't recognize that there is one true god, and that their misguided beliefs are breaking his heart. That's where I come in. I belong to the one true god. Who is he? He need not be named... but you polytheistic types know him as Cuthbert the saint. That's right. I said polytheistic. I know big words. Oh yeah, not just beautiful but smart too. We have good people on our side, not to mention God in our corner. Regretting the decision to doubt us yet? I know what your thinking: but Juan! A badass like you could rise to the top of a real religion with minimal effort. Why are you wasting your time with some mystery cult. But your wrong! Or at least there's more to it. These other gods that you believe in, the truth is they're not real. Okay yes, I know people have seen them and that they influence the world. But since when does that make you a god? Think about it. If I kill you, I'm influencing the hell out of you but I'm no god. Hell, I'm a far cry from a priest. The real situation is this: world is full of shadows, and sometimes these shades pretend to be what they could only ever really dream of being, the one true god. It should be obvious really. But the world is full of idiots like you who won't accept his love without a little violence. Enter Juan Steel, AKA me. Who am I? I'm the cudgel. It's my job to bust skulls and keep the faith. That's what I do. Don't mess with me. I'm no cleric. I'm pious, but I'm not nice. I am the hand of an angry god with his fingers on the trigger and I will mess you up without a second thought if I think he deems necessary. Let me tell you a story. This story begins in the foulest pits of the foulest underbelly of the foulest parts of the foulest city in the world. Are you getting the picture yet? This is not a good place. Now this place... let's call it earth. It's full of all of these terrible people like you who spend every day sinning their damn asses off because they aren't afraid of God's wrath. Now there's a little boy who grows up in this... cesspool. Except he isn't a normal little boy. You see despite his rugged good looks, awesome physique, and poetic speech he has a few *minor* physical qualities that distinguish him from the masses. Nothing too serious. Just a couple of red eyes and some razor sharp teeth. You would think that would be easy enough to overlook right? You would be wrong. This kid gets his ass kicked every day. He prays to every god he can think of but nothing happens. You see if only he knew about the one true god he would have been fine, but with so many names floating around in his head it's hard to know where to send the prayers and they get lost. So he does his best to grin and bear the ass kickings and the ugly words and the general not-nice-ness. Eventually he gives up on religion. What the hell is the point of asking help from the gods that clearly want nothing to do with us? He becomes distant. Sour. He learns to hide his natural features behind guises and learns to pretend to be human even though he should never need to hide his features. They are endearing! He doesn't need a god to tell him that the world is full of disgusting levels of evil. It's just a matter of finding a way to deal with it. He does his best to hide and just get by, but occasionally he sees things that are particularly nasty, things that are hard to ignore. And these things only get harder. One day he's in a bar trying to enjoy a cigarette and waste the night away when he witnesses... well, let's call it the prelude to a gangbang. A few guys chastising a girl in ways that aren't exactly friendly. Now this is hardly the first time this guy has seen things like this and he's always been able to let things go before. But this time something snaps and he just says "Ah to hell with it". Two shots fired. Two bodies hit the floor. The thing is, this guy had never been that great a shot. Something was different here. This time it was like some otherworldly force was guarding his bullets. And he felt all of this. An he knew what it was that was guiding his bullets. For the first time in his life he had found god. The real god. The one true god. And damn, I'm not sure if it was the violence or the rightness but it felt good. So he did it again. And again. And he never stopped doing it. Do you get it now? I'm cleansing the entire world of pigs and bringing it back to God. This is a purge. Nobody is safe. I am a danger to everyone. So stay on my good side, or take a barrel load of divine justice, ya dig? Name one of your characters strengths: Self-Righteousness. Juan has absolute confidence and conviction in himself. He is the scion of the one true god and because of this he cannot be wrong. Any decision he makes is vicariously the will of the one true god and as such he can make decisions on a dime without much thought based purely on what he feels is right. Juan is nearly impossible to shake away mentally and mind games simply do not work on him. Name one personality flaw that would create problems for your character: Bloodrage. Though he likes to think of himself as the living avatar of God's true justice, there is no escaping the fact that Juan has a dark side. When he gets violent, he gets really violent. The sight of the pain of those he deems unworthy tends to spur him on to deeper and darker levels. It's more or less impossible to stop him once he gets going, and if he ends up standing in a puddle where a man used to be, it wouldn't be the first time. Name one personality flaw that would create problems for the group: Monotheism. Juan doesn't deal kindly with members of other religions. In fact see the above. He tends to go berserk, in the most highly efficient way possible. His will is to systematically dissolve other religions and the faster the better. He belongs to a cult that exists for the sake of establishing a single god. He doesn't play nice. Last edited by Rahzeil; 02-29-2012 at 02:02 PM. |

Name: Godfried D'Scale
__________________Race: Kobold Exalted: Paragon Background:Born Tzerk Dzz'arth, the 50th child in his family. As most kobold families, he spent his early years underground, digging tunnels. However, he always dreamed about more. About what lay outside the sphere, in the Great wheel. He was never satisfied with his lot. Occasionally, he would manage to smuggle a small gem he'd find during his work, for future use. As he grew, Tzerk realized he was different. Smarter, faster, better then his peers. He knew he was destined for more then mining away under the earth. There were many arguments between him and the elders of his clan over his desire to leave. Finally, he had enough. Deciding that he was wasting his life, he grabbed his supply of gems. Sneaking out of the tunnels, he sold them for passage on a Spelljammer. With a new name, Godfried D'scale, he began his new life. He worked his way across the Wheel, traveling from sphere to sphere. At first, he was overwhelmed by the new sights, the diversity and people. He wanted to experiance it all. And so he sought to do so. While some turned out good, others he barely escaped with his scaley hide intact. And yet, in some way, he enjoyed all of them. Thus, it was natural that he became a worshiper of Slaanesh. They threw the best parties! Of course, in order to truly live, you need money. Godfried found himself to be a natural hand at pistols. He learned how to manipulate his magic and enhance his pistols. Learning the art of the Magitek Gunner, he sold his skills to whoever could pay him. His view of his own people deteriorated as he saw the greatness of the other cultures. Before long, even his desires turned away from those of his own race. He began to lust after the beautiful women of other species. He soon found himself enjoying the flirtation and nightly dalliances with said women. The more powerful they were, the more interested he was in seducing them. During one of his particularly bad adventure, he met a tiefling by the name of Vernistaadt. They were surrounded and outnumbered. However, their opponents were outmatched. Together, Godfried and Vernistaadt successfully completed the mission, forged a new brotherhood of a pint of beer and a shapely pair of twins. On another mission, he was hired as protection by a young gnome with a gift for technology. He and Gnorri discovered several lost pieces of technology and data. He gained a great deal of respect for the gnome's technological know-how. Then came the biggest day in the kobold's life. During the first flight of a slightly used Spelljammer he had just purchased from a shifty Promethian, the engine malfunctioned and caused him to fall into the warp. Coming out into an unknown Sphere, Godfried found an ancient fortress, dedicated to a foreign goddess. The technology in the fortress was rather worn and antiquated. But he soon discovered that it could fly. More then that, it could warp across the Great Wheel like a Spelljammer. Gathering his most trusted friends to be his commanding officers, he repaired and upgraded the fortress. Naming it after the ancient goddess it was dedicated to, the Pallas Athena became his, guiding him across the Great Wheel. Since then, he has made his own fortune. With his own ship and crew, he began taking jobs across the Wheel, choosing the ones that promised adventure and enjoyment over the ones with the highest pay. Character's Strength: While not very strong, Godfried learned quickly to manipulate people. He prefers to use these skills on the attractive members of the fairer sex. Flaw that affects character: Misanthrope. His trips across the wheel have cause him to hate his fellow kobolds, viewing them as lesser beings. Any that he comes across must prove that they are not. Which will be difficult as he wishes to have nothing to do with them. Flaw that affects party: As a worshiper of Slaanesh, Godfried seeks to explore all of life's pleasures. And of course, part of the fun is in sharing those pleasures with others... whether they want to or not. Last edited by Blackguard; 12-03-2011 at 05:17 PM. |

Name: Gnorri Sigurdson (sheet)
__________________Age: 225 Race: Gnome Exaltation: Paragon Starting Class: Mech-wright Background: Gnorri is a gifted technologist, even by the standards of gnomes. Born into a family of gifted craftsmen and servants of the Omnissiah, Gnorri was sent off to the best schools where he learned voraciously. Following school, Gnorri's head for machinery, both inventing and repairing, allowed him to amass a small fortune. But Gnorri soon became bored with this sedentary life and sought out new challenges. Gnorri decided to convert some of his capital into an armoured exploration vehicle and seek out the dangerous places of the Spheres. While working on perfecting this vehicle, a walker that he called "Stormcloud", Gnorri was recruited into a secretive sect devoted to the Omnissiah. Gnorri's work over the past few years has been simple. He would be given a map by his superiors, and a modicum of support. Gnorri would make his way to the destination described on the map, working for his board (and that of the Stormcloud) on a Spelljammer. Once there, he would explore ruins of ancient, but technologically enhanced civilizations, retrieving lost technological treasures in the name of the Omnissiah. Of course, not everyone within the church are supportive of this rising star. Gnorri has recently run afoul of Dante Thunderfist, a (mostly) human Chosen of the Omnissiah, who has begun to suspect Gnorri of selling his sect's secrets after a misunderstanding with a cybernetic schematic. Thunderfist, a heavily modified human with his own Spelljammer and a small army of cyborgs and even a number of true Prometheans, is waging his own private war against his fellow Tech-Priest. The only saving grace is that there are few of the more powerful members of the clergy of the Omnissiah who believe Dante, and those few are willing to offer very little support against Gnorri. This serves to enrage the human further, of course, but it provides something of a shield for Gnorri. Gnorri has prospered, despite something of a low ranking amongst his new sect. While still putting large amounts of cash into his mech, now on the fourth model, he has managed to amass a fairly large fortune. This comes from a combination of ancient discoveries, inventions, and construction of vehicles using principles perfected in making the Stormcloud series. Gnorri still works onboard ships, however, as he loves to explore the ruins that his superiors continue to locate for him. His latest venture is the Pallas Athena, which he has backed somewhat from his own personal fortune. Name one of your characters strengths: Incredible technical ability, coupled with a mecha for those times when dakka is needed. Name one personality flaw that would create problems for your character: Devotion. As a follower of the Omnissiah, Gnorri can treat his fellows worse than he does his machinery, and to have a nearly obscene preference for machines over flesh. For an example, despite having enough medical training to make a competent doctor, he rarely serves in that capacity because his solution to most problems is to replace the offending body part with something cybernetic. ("Broken femur? Cybernetic leg! Blurry vision? Bionic eyes! Slight cough? I will be getting servomotor lungs on Tuesday, can you wait until then?") Name one personality flaw that would create problems for the group: Wanderlust. An inability to stay in one place means that the character will jump at any opportunity to continue exploring the Great Wheel, regardless if the rest of the group is particularly ready to leave or not. Name: James Avantor
__________________Age: 23 Race: Human Exaltation: Atlantean (reincarnation of a great hero who passed away in the last war) Starting Class: Arcane Kniggit (monty python jokes abound) Appearance: James is a strikingly handsome man and he knows it, as he constantly flaunts it when not in the presence of Eve. Of course, he'd never act on any of the offers he gets... you know, because of Eve, but that doesn't stop him from enjoying the attention. His hair is kept neatly combed to the right with a slight wave in the front over his forehead, and it has a natural shine to it that makes the dull brown seem much more vibrant. His eyes are incredibly green, with an inner glow that makes him seem friendly and inviting to talk to. He is well muscled, but keeps himself slimmer than most warriors, as it's easier to dodge attacks that way. He's quite tall, standing at about 6'3" and weighing in at 170 lbs. He has a faint jagged scar on his back from when his father was teaching him how to play dodgeball with beer bottles. Occasionally a man in ornate armor with a large sword and shield can be seen following him, though he disappears as though he were simply an apparition. Personality: James is, to be quite honest, a bit of an ass when you first meet him. What with his constant craving to be in charge and his daddy issues, he tends to tear those around him down to get to the top. Of course, once he knows somebody well enough, he drops the ******* act and shows his true nature, one of humility and dare I say it pleasantness. Though he still wants to be in charge... he's pretty fickle about that. He also aspires to greatness, as though he has to prove himself to an ancestor, who he also strives to surpass. Background: Name one of your characters strengths: James has a very charming and witty personality, something he usually uses to voluntell (that means exactly what it sounds like) to do things that are to his benefit in some way shape or form. He's also quite skilled with a blade and can cast a few spells that he picks up here and there. Name one personality flaw that would create problems for your character: He has a strong desire to be in charge of himself, which usually means being in charge of others so that they can't tell him what to do. This leads him to butt heads with people often. He also stands out in a crowd, especially when a lasgun burns a hole in his pants, but who doesn't when that happens? Also, his ancestor abhorred the use of guns, seemingly having passed on a similar hatred, if at least subconsciously, to James... Though he won't refrain from using them if absolutely necessary, but of course even then he isn't very good with them. Name one personality flaw that would create problems for the group: When he loses a battle of personality with another person, he tends to cuss them out... even if they're guards, Planetary Governors, or Daemon Princes. This has gotten him run out of many towns, cities, and even the occasional sphere. It also inspired a few bounties to quote: "cauterize the open wound that is his mouth" Posting rate: as most who are in games with me already can back up, quite often Last edited by Cygnus; 12-13-2011 at 10:28 PM. |

Name: Sasha Race: Human Exaltation: Werewolfcheetah Background: Sasha remembers very little of her life before she was found by The Gent, a legendary thief and leader of the thieves guild. She had been living on the street, barely getting enough to survive. But she was fast. And used this speed to her advantage, outrunning angry storekeeps and the guard. She was caught by The Gent, breaking into a store marked by the Guild. He was impressed by her talent and took her in. He raised her, training her in the proper ways of the thief, and becoming a father figure to her. Many in the guild were outraged by this show of favortisim, while others feat that she is being groomed for leadership, ruining their own political schemes. Sasha meanwhile, dreams about traveling across the Great Wheel, witnessing the wondrous treasures of countless civilizations... and stealing it. She has grown up confidant in her skills, and quick thinking. She is cheerful, almost annoyingly so, and quick to make friends. She is generous with her ill gotten gains, remembering the hardships she suffered before being properly trained. Character Strengths: Speed. If there is one thing Sasha loves more then sparkleys and shineys, its speed. She loves to run and is quite athletic. She is also quite friendly, even with total strangers. As long as that friendliness doesn't cost her. Flaw that affects character: Sasha loves to run. She would prefer to go on foot, rather then take a vehicle. Even if the vehicle is faster. She will also deliberately provoke an opponent into racing her, then bug them to train her if they win. Flaw that affects the party: Her metabolism. If there is anything Sasha loves more then stealing riches and running fast, its eating. She can easily eat her own weight in food at a single sitting. Course, like any good thief, she finds ways to get out of paying for her meals herself. Usually by convincing some poor sap to take her out to eat. Kinzoku Shinzo Application
Name: Kinzoku Shinzo (Metal Heart) Nickname: Zoku
__________________Age: 30 Race: Human Exaltation: Promethean Alignment: Tzeentch Growth Concept: Mech-Wright>Enginseer>Tech-Priest>Technomancer>Magnos Appearance: She has dark tan skin, short and curly red hair, and yellow eyes. She is very curvy and can be described as plump-pretty or cute-chubby. She stands at 5'4 and weighs 140 lbs. She wears an orange strappy tube-top style shirt and a tan skort (skirt with shorts). She has yellow thigh highs and wears tan sandals. She wears a steampunk necklace, ring, bracelet and earrings that she made. Personality: Zoku is shy, but firm. She is cautious in whom she chooses as friends and slow to trust. Zoku is very wise and intelligent and a bit no-nonsense. She prefers to spend her free time working on new mechanical inventions, or reading up on the latest technology. She doesn't like to party, because she sees it as a waste of time compared to other productive things she could be doing instead. Despite her serious side she can be equally cute, in that she has child-like curiosity, is easily embarrassed, and likes to play with her inventions like toys or pets. Background: Name one of your characters strengths: Zoku is highly intelligent and very creative. She is gifted at crafting technology. She is also very sturdy and well practiced in combat with both melee and ballistics, a quick learner and can use either hand with ease. Name one personality flaw that would create problems for your character: Due to being such a bookworm and working on her inventions alone, Zoku is not strong with social interactions. She is shy and sometimes says offensive things accidentally. She also becomes very embarrassed and flustered if any males compliment her appearance or make a pass at her. Name one personality flaw that would create problems for the group: She is impulsive and can easily stray from any orders that were given to her, possibly blowing someone’s cover or accidentally alerting enemies and so on. She tends to go after anything that she finds curious, without thinking it over first, and not thinking about how it will affect the group.
