The Batman The stranger with the skull on his jumpsuit quickly climbs to his feet and steps back to what you recognize as pistol range. You can already feel your fingers moving to disarm him, out of sheer reflex. The gun hanging loose in his grip at his side, the stranger's nanchalant expression says that he has no reason to shoot, he is not your enemy. A lip slightly curling to emit the words, eyes narrowed, he says, "Was at work... Got knocked out. You?"

Spider-Man The wall comes crumbling down on top of the Green Goblin, and he makes a noise like the breath is sucked out of him. Normally this would kill someone, but the Goblin is persistant. And as hard to kill as you are. His shoulders, followed by the damaged Goblin mask immerge from the rubble, now hanging in a mass of torn material and wires revealing Osborn's insane right eye. Climbing to his feet, he shakes the dust and debris from his green and purple tunic, the Goblin's laugh sounding bizarre through the mask's damaged voice box. "You're right, Spider-Man. I'm all out of tricks. Finally, I see the light." Your spider-sense hits you like a punch in the stomach. Make a reflex check before your next turn.

Freeze As you expect, the Rhino-man hits the slickened part of the street and starts to slide, failing to catch his balance and falling flat on his stomach, sliding in a prone position towards you. Uttering a frustrated and suprised grunt, he throws his hands up on his head to shield it as he cascades into a parked car, denting it. You are granted an attack of opportunity to hit the Rhino while he's reeling before your turn.

Gambit Shadowcat groans and pulls her head away, too late to prevent it from becoming ruffled out of the neat pony tail she kept it in. Laughing a little at your joke while she fixes it, she gestures with a turn of her chin towards Colossus. "That's why I keep him around." Jokingly, Colossus flexes a big right arm and transforms into steel, his flesh glistening. "What's the plan, boss?" He asks in accented english. You should consider all the members of your team before entering combat. For your information, you're up against ninjas: armed with both melee weapons and firearms, well trained and numerous. Among them are an unknown number of metahumans, but first thing's first. You need to pick a place to begin. The main house where Emma Frost and Scott are is one option. Rescuing them could bolster your numbers. On the other hand, the School itself is still crawling with them. If they reach any of the building's sensitive rooms... like this one, or heaven forbid, Cerebro - that could be bad news. It's your call, though. Your fellow X-Men are looking to you to make the decision.

Kal'El Your timing is impecible, and naturally as the Kryptonite Brainiac breaks the surface of the water and jolts towards you, trying to close the distance between you, he takes a raking laser blast across his shoulders and down his torso - catching the Kyrptonite arm as it moves down. Damaged but still intact, the Brainiac tailspins towards the ice again and is forced to right itself this turn. The second Brainiac locks on and fires another salvo of missiles your way: Touch Attack: Dice Roll: d20+8 (11)+8 Total = 19 Damage Dice Roll: 2d8+1 (2, 2)+1 Total = 5 Reflex DC 16 for half damage.

Miss Frost Able to step backwards slightly and avoid your grasp, the massive Bane just laughs at your attempt. This buys you some time if you would like to activate any of your powers or move, since you still have a move action left in your turn.

Kal-El Kent dodged most of the mssiles, but took a glancing blow from on to his shoulder, tearing the fabric a little and cutting slightly into his skin before bouncing off the bone and spiralling off to explode harmlessly. " That the best your '12th level Intellect' can muster Braniac? Give up, put the weapons away and leave, before I get mad" Superman tried reasoning one more time before lancing out with heat-beams, aiming to finish off the damaged kryptonite-carrier. A small smile came to superman's lips as his energy beams flew true, nothing beat the dread of an impending disaster like a little battle with braniac.

Mr. Freeze Victor pulls out the Ice Gun, aiming it at the Rhino-Man's legs he says one last thing. "If it makes you feel any better, I'd be happy to let you kill me if it was just about my life. But She needs me. You may feel some momentary discomfort." he says to the Rhino-Man, as he pulls the trigger. Action Freeze Gun, Cone Setting. Mostly concentrating on Rhino's legs. Dice Cold Damage: 4d8+8 (8, 3, 4, 2)+8 Total = 25

Thor "Though I can not speak for Bruce, I believe we would be foolhardy to turn down any assistance, especially from one as valient as yourself Lady Wasp," Thor says as he boards the quinjet, finding his seat and awaiting take off.

Gambit Rubbing the stubble getting thicker on his chin Gambit considers his options for a moment before shaking his head. As much as he didn't want to admit it to himself Remy knew that this would be a lot easier with Scott or Emma around to bolster their numbers. Wrinkling his face at the thought of fighting ninjas from one side of the house to another, Gambit suggests that Nightcrawler and Shadowcat do some scouting in the direction he felt would take them to reach Emma the quickest. Despite her reputation Remy found her easier to deal with than Cyclops, it was too easy to recall any number of arguments the two had over tactics or ethics. In addition to being easier to deal with, the Ice Queen usually wore clothing styled in ways that Gambit thoroughly agreed was the way a woman so endowed was supposed to dress. Despite appreciating Emma's figure and clothing choices, the woman made him a bit uneasy. Who could know when she was crawling around in your thoughts?

Freeze Epilogue OOC: Just something for fun. Victor had two kinds of days in the Marvel Universe, but both kinds of days beat the ones he'd have in Arkham Asylum. Victor and Nora had talked about at least visiting New York. Nora always did want to skate at the Rockefeller Center. Maybe she would one day now. One day. The Rhino never did share who told him about he and Joker, honestly Victor didn't care. From what he learned about him later, freezing Rhino's legs was getting off easy but Victor wasn't there for vengeance. He only wanted one thing, and he wasn't going to let some man in a costume take it from him. Empire State University would be the goal of that day's wanderings. There was some confusion and Victor's short patience and anti-social behavior probably didn't help but he would find what he needed. Yes, this world wasn't more advanced then his own but it had taken different paths in it's Science. That would be enough. Spider-Man arrived at one point. Apparently someone thought this was a hostage situation at first, but fortunately the Red-and-Blue masked man figured out quickly that Victor drastically cooled any room he was in but otherwise stopped nobody from doing anything they wished as long as they stayed out of his way, and mostly he just stayed in the Science section. At some point Mr. Freeze and Spider-Man began to talk, and when it became Victor and Peter not even they knew. Oh they didn't use names of course, but at some point it wasn't a Villain and a Hero- it was a man with a dying wife, and a man who could know who to talk to to get help. The Marvel Universe, untainted by the PR machine and the money of Ferris Boyle, proved to be a more hospitable place for Mr. Freeze. Batman did visit at some point, trying to intimidate Victor into not taking any more Vengence on Boyle, but that was a promise Victor couldn't give. Only that Nora would always come first. Always. Spider-Man proved to be helpful in other ways as well. Between his own contacts in the super-hero community and a friend of his named Peter Parker who worked with the local media Victor and Nora had a chance here. In the end it would be a group called the Fantastic Four that would make the difference. Dr. Reed Richards was apparently one of the smartest men on this world, and he was also a man less then social but with a wife he loved very much, with the family Victor was denied to boot. With legal assistance from Reed, his wife Susan, and their friends and children Victor would serve his debt to society in the Baxter Building as a laboratory assistant to Reed. Within a few months Nora's chamber was repaired and small machines were introduced to repair the ice, molecule by molecule. It had to be a slow process, each repair needed to be checked to make sure it wasn't disrupting her delicate structure. Each crack and fissure- repaired one molecule at a time. A process that would take decades, and that still wouldn't cure her disease. The absolute best case scenario had Nora coming out of the chamber, whole, in 20 years at the very least. The funny part was that Reed's studies into trying to cure his friend Ben apparently could be used to cure Victor in time. Victor could be a normal man in as little as six months again. Victor laughed at that. For the first time, Victor truly saw his mutation as a blessing. Nora needed at least 20 years, and with his frozen body he could give 20 years and more. He could for the first time since Boyle's murder attempt Victor actually laughed. Now-a-days they call it the Fantastic Force. Victor had two kinds of days now, in some he works at Nora's side to bring her back all the sooner and in other days he's the man Nora would remember to others as well.
