In all seriousness though, I hope the final decision won't be purely based on post count. If it is I at least hope having a decent 'posting rate' is taken into consideration (please see profile since I have joined).

I can practically guarantee that Ronar does NOT base his player choice decisions on post count. You need not worry about that. He looks for ideas and style, and a PC who will blend into his vision for the game/world.

I don't know where the idea of choosing players from post count came from but I'm sure that it's not a good way of choosing players and I don't believe a GM as Ronar would do that.

However, I am intimidated by the expected player quality from the various staff members and players with a long story of PbP under his hands, and I do feel that will be hard to any GM to choose me, a newbie, instead of a great player, but hope is the last thing to die and I just hope my character concept would be good enough to be chosen.

If not, well, there's more games and the world wouldn't end.

As stated, some GM's actually set a place or two aside in their minds for new players (i do, for example).

And, Ronar gave me a chance in a world, when I was a newbie, so I know he's done the same. Chose a relatively new, unknown guy to play a part in one of his worlds.

Whether or not I ruined it for all the rest of you newbies by my game play.... remains to be seen.

And lastly, again from experience, having post count or even red/staff tags doesn't mean you get an automatic in. I've missed out on a game or two with him, because my application just didn't pass muster.

So, I can honestly say, I think everyone has about the same chance here, roughly. Do your best application, and let the chips fall.

Already in a Jade Regent game or else I'd apply for this one. Ronar is a top notch dm, and a fair guy so don't be intimidated by name colors and post counts. Throw in a good app and you're as likely to get accepted as everyone else.
