[3.5e] New to this, looking for a game

I'm new to PbP and DnD, but I'm a fast learner. I'm most familiar with v3.5.
I appreciate that the DMs are doing their best, but the weeks-long backlog on solo games is a bit discouraging. I thought I'd make a post here and see if there are any DMs who wouldn't mind accepting a bit of a newb into their game. Thanks in advance.

Make a character, with bio and personality, physical appearance and so on. Any character, just let it be legit. Then go apply for games, using that as an example. If the DM likes it they will most likely let you in. I got in to a wonderful game with only 3 posts total, and still in it.
