Ah. Well, I don't even have UA, so taking it "from" UA doesn't really work for me. But if you want to propose (in a PM, don't need to clutter this thread) a corresponding penalty, I'll consider it as a house rule. If you decide to use the same penalty UA does, well, that's between you and WotC. |

Character Name: Jos (Lake Palmer)
__________________Race: Changeling (Half Elf) Class: Illusionist Alignment: Neutral ideally(but sometimes alignments are too restrictive) Character Concept: Spell casting bounty hunter under the guise of a street performer The only way Jos was able to tolerate the rubes that pass by the cart where the half elf face plied his trade, cup and ball, find the red playing card, and sometimes straight up magic on slow days. Today was far from slow, but there was a very low profit for the day, Jos needed a nice bounty to fill the coffers for the day. Jos had seen these dwarves in and out of the various pubs near him, they'd been force to tour the bars for causing disturbances all over the neighborhood. Lake began to follow the crew of four, he knew he could make a small bounty for 4 drunks, but he could make way more for one murderer, and he knew just how to set it up. It wasn't long before the dwarves who where removed from the pubs couldn't find an inn where they could stay and were forced to take up residence in an alley. Once they passed out Jos donned the face of the largest of the 4. A quick illusory din to ensure witnesses in the late night, and the perpetrator's weapon soaked in blood, not to mention an imaginary half elf rushing into the alley, and Lake had the drunk in hand cuffs. The hardest part was ushering the drunken man into the jail where he could hand him over to officials, "Straight lines dammit!" Lake shouted at the bearded drunkard. "I've got a nasty murderer here, caught him just barely too slow to stop him from murdering his drinking buddies," he hands the weapon over to the officer he spoke with and flashed his ID, to show he was an approved bounty hunter, "I only wish I could have stopped him sooner." He shakes his head. After spending a few hours filling out paperwork and answering questions Lake made his way home, lucky they hadn't used any magic to detect the truth on him, the witnesses usually helped that. I still want to work on it, but I think this is a good first draft. Last edited by Nikolasthe17th; 05-18-2012 at 05:28 PM. |

Re: alignments... yeah, as Embrodak already pointed out for us, alignments are a lot looser in Eberron, so I think Neutral will fit just fine. Love the character concept, looking forward to the completed application. |

Go ahead and continue refining it, as you wish. Hopefully we'll hear back from some of the others soon as well as getting a game forum.

That's three, just need one more. We've had three with interest expressed already, so I expect we'll have one by tonight. How long it takes to get our game forum, I'm not sure... For anyone else still preparing an application (or reading this in the near future), go ahead and submit an application if you want even after I've accepted a fourth. If we end up needing you as a replacement or to expand the party, I'll contact you first before to see if you're still available before soliciting new applications. |

I find it amusing that our rogue is the "Goodest" of the party, at least as far as "official" alignment. ![]() Now we just need to wait for the mods to give us our forum... Anyone else, go ahead and submit reservist applications if you want. I enjoy reading the character concepts and vignettes. Even if you don't get called up for full time duty, I might invite you for a cameo if you impress me.

Ok, I've set up the game. You can find it at http://www.rpgcrossing.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10474.
I'll be leaving this thread open over the weekend to allow applications by potential backups (heaven forbid we end up needing them). Then I'll close it and request archival. |
