For real someone nominated one of my posts? That's flattering! My time on this site is too brief indeed.

But guess who I ran into on Pier 83 on the west side of New York City: our wayward DM on holiday! Olorian and his fiance were taking in the sites so my fam and I joined them for a boat ride around lower Manhattan. We had an awesome time. My wife said, "they were really nice!" and the kids took to Olorian like he was their long lost uncle! Olorian, my wife never says anything good about any of my friends so believe me when I say you guys made a great impression! It was a wonderful experience and I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your travels.

That said, I really miss this game

I know, right? Who would have thought Halcyon would have missed the game?

Seriously, though - sounds great! Olorian mentioned in our "Draw Something" games that he saw you the other day

Two down. Who's next on his hit list?

So Hal, do we read into your taste in friends, or...

Sounds like a great time. When we met up last year he joined me at an adventure race on his own, camping out with myself and four friends. They were equal converts by the end as well. The man oozes charm. Just sticky with it. He volunteered his services while there and by the end of it had made friends with what seemed half the organizers and participants. Great guy.

Now where is he?!

Hehe! Well, Olorian had equally nice things to say about you too Dalinen!

Olorian mentioned a trip to New Zealand was in the works... Hvg3akaek, get ready!

I think he's trying to recruit us into getting together to play a table top game some day... I'm in!

I believe he and his fiancee should be gearing up to go on a road trip to Niagara Falls tomorrow. I'm going to try and call him tomorrow, though my days are so freakin crazy lately that I might not get to it.

Howdy folks! How is everyone doing? Greetings from the Hudson Valley, more specifically from a place called Hyde Park just north of Poughkeepsie, where the home of Mr. F.D. Rockefeller used to be. (well, the home is still there, he's not, I believe )
As Halcyon says, wonderful meeting in NYC - we had mutual warm feelings and sincerely hope to meet again someday - perhaps on the drive down from Niagara
Interesting notion indeed about your other friends, Hal... Hehehe. That made us (my gf and me) laugh out loud. How come she doesn't like the rest of them?

And thank you, for all the kind words; the same could without a doubt be said about all of you! And yes, I think it would be wonderful to one day sit at the same tabletop with all of you and play some D&D!! New Zealand I've already been to, but Australia is definitely on my bucket list.

Hvg, I quit Draw Something because somehow I lost all my color palettes and that annoyed me just as much as the tons of people on there who write words in their pictures Thanks for 148 fun back-and-forth great drawings though!

Meanwhile I'll see if one of our next hostels has wifi as well and I might be able to do one update. The rest of my time I'm driving through upstate NY or reading A Dance With Dragons (G. Martin) which I hadn't gotten round to reading in the past year or so... Love it so far (now at about 1/3rd) but am already fearing not being able to finish it this holiday, before getting back to real life...

Oops, turns out I mixed up Rockefeller with F.D.Roosevelt, and that the man's grave actually is on the grounds of his mansion. Nice museum there, and an impressive figure in history!

Sorry I have been somewhat silent. Garus has taken this time off to go and fight the Prime Evils (been playing a lot of Diablo III). I originally tried to host this image on my own site, but when I tried linking to that the picture came out huge! Anyone know how to resize image links within the forum code?

Also, speaking of traveling and the like, if anyone makes their way down towards Atlanta just let me know. DragonCon anyone?

thamewolf, check here for other d3 players on the site!

also - the colds the rest of my household have had for the past 1-2 weeks (which has made me overly exhausted in helping care for them) has made its way to me. i've been out of action for the weekend, and am home from work today, with a head that will not let me think straight. so for the moment, i'm not up to posting. hopefully, nothing vital happens before i recover...

Hey, just to let everyone know, I will be away from the Internet for the weekend. Going to a local burn, which is like a camping hippie festival (think Burning Man, but on a much smaller scale, in a better environment, and with people slightly less out of their minds).

Certainly not
There was a lot of liquor and beer around as well...

Seriously, though, I was one of the most sober people around this weekend, relatively speaking, on account of having a paper due tomorrow.
