Seeing as how I ever-so-dislike taking players' turns for them, I sought to find a solution for that. Who better to take an AWOL player's turn than another player? So, here's the way it's gonna work: 72 hours after I make a post prompting combat (which is either an enemy turn post or a "combat has begun" post), turns open up to everyone. You should keep the RP of others' characters to a minimum; even none is acceptable. You also aren't allowed to take any actions not covered by the rules as-written* when doing so. I also encourage you to use this as sparingly as possible. For the time being, this only applies to group 1, as you guys are more focused on speed. *When I say this, I mean you aren't allowed to take extra-special actions. You can still do most everything you need to, including attack, move, use powers, drop prone, stand up, and so on. The only things prohibited are actions that would involve something that sounds like "I want to [do something crazy], but the PHB doesn't cover it. Can I do it? If so, how would it work?" To put it into perspective, almost every single action taken so far has NOT been an extra-special action. |

Works for me, sometimes things just happen unfortunately but like they say, show must go on. It was reported in another game that kyo is having connection trouble and may be gone for a few days in addition to ryoga, who hopefully is doing OK. Anyone mind if I take Azriel''s turn for this round, and someone else takes Brita's?

Yeah, that sounds alright to me. I'll take Brita's turn this round, then.

Alive, had some further complications, so I'm still a bit weak, but Alive. Still able to use both arms as well, that's why I had to basically do nothing these past two weeks. Sorry folk, I'll be posting asap.

I apologize to everyone involved, and honestly am kind of sad about this myself, but I'm afraid this campaign must come to an end, due to a combination of personal reasons.
__________________Originally, playing D&D was intended to be a substitute "drug" for the fact that I had just quit World of Warcraft and wasn't getting my "fantasy fix". To that effect, I must say it worked great. However, roughly 6 weeks ago or so, I went back to WoW. Since then, D&D has kind of taken a back seat. I had to quit one of the two games I was playing because I simply was spending too much time on WoW (by the way, no plans to quit the other one; I still have a little spare free time). Also, quite noticeably, these games slowed down to nearly a halt. I also feel less like I'm trying to deliver a quality game and more like I'm trying to deliver a game at all. The original plan was to have at least the full next encounter planned out (if not the entire chapter) at all times. Somewhere down the line, however, that plan fell apart, and I ended up designing things literally as you got to them. That's no way to do things. That's improv. And improv doesn't work towards anything except comedy, where the inevitable randomness easily converts into hilarity. I'd like to deeply thank everyone who stuck around for as long as they did, even those that ended up dropping out; a lot of you had very compelling characters that I found myself thinking about even away from the computer (and that's always a good sign). It was loads of fun while it lasted. Anyway, before I leave entirely, I will say that it's possible you may see this campaign revived, likely starting at paragon-level. I was kind of underwhelmed by the lack of amazing power, and was kind of pushing to get to higher levels as fast as possible. I can't say when it'll happen, or even guarantee that it will happen at all, but when it comes to my life, anything is possible. |

Sorry to hear this game is going to go, I really enjoyed it while it lasted.
Dog, thanks for running such a fun game. If it does come back, I'm absolutely still in--it's been a blast. Isthon, kyo, Palladia, Rej, Ryoga: I've had a great time playing with all of you. Hope to see you around the site, or back here if the game picks up again. |

Just queue for the dungeon finder as a DPS and post while you wait, that's what I do :P
But really it's understandable, and was fun. If you want to accelerate to paragon and re-start later I'm up for it. |
