You all probably wonder how he is but you are told that he is in good hands. As you leave, you see a couple of soldiers coming towards you Excuse me sirs and ma'am. We have been told to tell you that we have gotten rooms for you. If you wish, you may change any accommodations that you dislike. With that they leave and you are left with the rest of your time |

Fenris continues to look around the market for better equipment. Through the crowds Fenris begins to think of the possibilities to hunt this incredible prey, looking for the strongest longsword he can find and the strongest short sword the thoughts running through his mind are of.
Death, if it comes from the left I shall strike low with my short sword stab to the right seeing its pivot. The Wolf strikes from any angle the hunt requires if higher strike its head, if lower claw at to its guts then stab high into the chest. If the prey is within range of a far strike, take care and time before ending its reign. Fenris' mind beginning to hasten as he looks for stronger weapons, needing to find the right tools to destroy this beast, he was the prey that Fenris lost if he must share the kill so be it. |

Vestran followed Fenris in his search for better equipment. Vestran wasn't very interested in purchasing anything but he curiously browsed the wares. He dawdled, gazing at all the crazy sights that made up this strange underground city. He didn't share the same sort of intense drive that burned in Fenris' eyes, but was quite relaxed, ambling relaxed through the streets.

As both Vestran and Fenris walk through the market place observing the many stalls, they both find themselves staring at a strange looking dagger. Both of you have looked around and have basically seen somewhat decently made weapons and armor of all kinds as well as various potions and scrolls, but nothing grabs your eye like this. The dagger almost feels . . . alive
Oy, what do you want then. The Orc store keeper is staring at you. He looks as though he thinks you are going to steal the dagger. Last edited by KGKGKG; 06-21-2012 at 03:28 AM. |

Fenris begins to look up from the dagger into the eyes of the Orc, That blade looks interesting, how much are you asking for the dagger?
Fenris feeling a strong presence from this blade, possibly being enchanted Fenris hopes that he could take this blade as his new weapon, smaller it may be it may have some surprises ready for his next prey. |

Vestran finds the way he's drawn to the dagger quite strange. He's heard many stories of enchanted trinkets or pieces of equipment that turn out to be cursed and turn the bearer insane.
Maybe this dagger is a similar item. Or maybe we're drawn to it because it has some connection to the fallen star. "Be wary, Fenris..." Vestran whispered in his ear. |

The orc grabs the knife and starts polishing it. The various curves and symbols glint as the cloth polishing the knife rubs across the metallic surface of the blade. The knife's single gem glistened and sparkled.
This knife is special. This is my one and only. Not only is this thing lightweight and hard as mithril, its got that strange crystal inn'er. Found that crystal you know. Out in the open all for the picking. If you want this knife your going to have to set a price with me. He puts the knife down and looks into your eyes. So then, what do ya think about this knife. It's strange listening to this Orc. He obviously is trying to judge you. |

Fenris looks at the orc as he polishes his dagger, he brings his right hand up to his chin as he begins to rub it thinking to himself. This stone in the dagger looks to be more than just an ordinary weapon. If this orc can't tell me what the crystal does then I will pay little for it.
hmm...Well tell me. I believe that crystal there is much more than simple decoration, what does it do to the blade? Gather information: 12 Last edited by Jasontheswift; 06-24-2012 at 04:24 PM. |

The orc looks at you harshly.
The gem right there got does one thing. It seals souls . . . or thats what I've been told its supposed to do. I can't use it at all. He sets the blade down and eyes Vestran. The hell do you want. |

Vestran was surprised when the orc addressed him directly, he thought his temporary sidekick role had been recognized by the arms dealer.
"I'm just tagging along, I'm not really a weapons guy myself. But this blade is quite curious, how much are you asking for it?" |

Fenris says to the Orc to begin bargaining I'll give you 90 Gold pieces for the dagger.
Fenris hoping to capitalize on the Orc's lack of intelligence as his teachings ring in your eyes. Never allow obstacles to grow, eliminate them when there is an opportunity, a hunt must be taken at the right time not before not after. |

The orc is gleaming and he smirks
I don't need monentary gain for this dagger Come back in three days or so and I'll see what I can do You both turn and wander around the market place some more but you find that there really isn't anything that you need. You all eventually turn in for the day and rest for the next day. ~~~~~~ By the next day you all feel refreshed and you meet up with Magnus at the Cubical Corner. The Corner is just as packed as before. |

Stretching as he wakes up back in his bed, Magnus can not help, but greet the early morning torch light with a smile. Despite the exhaustion of working all night on Moris' new armor, he could not help but be proud and happy with the result. The chain links, gleamed as if they were freshly polished, and the gems set in it sparkled with energy. After a quick shower and a clean change of clothes, Magnus is ready to face the rest of his unpleasant day. Wishing to simply relax back in his small home, he gets his gear together for the jaunt off back into the wilderness.
Strapping the last buckle closed, Magnus takes his spell book and opens it up. Sitting down in the chair in his kitchen table, he starts breathing in and out slowly. As his heartbeat slows, he opens up his 6th sense and views the winds of magic. Looking around at the colors as they swirl around the room and the cavern, he can not wonder about the level of power down here in the abyss. Reaching and touching the strands, he starts chanting the different words and parts of each one, well pulling the the power from the winds. Confident in his abilities and knowing his book, he changes pages quickly. Flipping from spell to another, it only takes an hour or so before he is done preparing his spells for the day. Looking over the bonds the hold together Mortis, he touches up a few loose strands here or there in the minions spell frame. Looking around once again, he finally closes himself off to the winds. Gathering his things, he locks his houses door behind him. Greeting the other earlier risers, he eventually makes his way back to the Cube. Greeting the cube as he enters, he finds a sit at a table large enough for the whole group. Mortis simply stands behind, ready as ever. When a waitress comes by, he takes a brief look over the drink list before snapping it close. Yes, I will have the '99 Summer Sherry from Valic and a full breakfast. heading the menu back he waits for his food to arrive, but as always service is great and it is not too long. During the time he realizes just how hungry that he is. When the food arrives, he quickly tucks into it with gusto. The whole plate is cleared far faster then he normally eats, and he simply sighs and shakes his head at his gluttony. I never thought making armor took it out of you like that. I must be careful not to exhaust myself to many times before this is over or I could end up 20 pounds heavier. Looking around at the bar he tries to see if he recognizes anyone in the crowd, he slides his plate back and leans back. Dropping a gold coin on the table next to the plate he is ready to go when they arrive. Sipping his wine, he picks his nails while he waits for the others to arrive. |

Vestran rested easy in this city of curiosity. He felt strangely at home in this odd place that brought all sorts of weird people together. He thoroughly enjoyed exploring it and taking it all in, one person, one building at a time.
Vestran rolled out of bed, happy to take on the new day. The looming prospect of the fallen star and saving the world seemed far off, like a dream. The apocalyptians, as they had called themselves, seemed unimportant as he yawned, stretched, and did his daily exercises. By the end he was breathing heavily, but his heart was pumping, and he felt ready for the new day. Vestran accompanied Fenris to the Cubical Corner, where they hoped to meet up with Mortis and see what he had been up to. |

Fenris leaving with Vestran moved on and said to him. I realised that we don't know much about each other Vestran. Tell me where are you from? What brought you to our little group?
As they walked together Fenris' thoughts were possessed with the dagger, the crystal felt somewhat similar to what he had combated before in that swamp. I won't let that chance go to waste however I should bring up the opportunity we have been given. Last edited by Jasontheswift; 07-10-2012 at 09:16 PM. |
