[Characters] Pub NPCs

[WoLT]

This thread catalogs all Pub NPCs and the rules regarding them

GMs and Player Tier 3 Members may all have 1 Pub NPC. T3 are not required to create such a character and if they do, are not required to use them except for when they wish. GMs must create a pub NPC and are encouraged to use them when they are able.

All pub NPCs must be submitted to Room 0 for approval.

A pub NPC may only interact in the tavern or in a that they are explicitly invited to by the ownerguildhall and is subject to only being in one place at a time as per normal rules.

Pub NPCs are designed for pure RP purposes, never gain experience and never count for posting requirements of any kind. They are for enhanced RP fun only, as well as to make the taproom a more lively place.

Your pub NPC may not mingle with your active character unless absolutely necessary and this should be kept to a minimum and must never result in any sort of in game exploit.

Your pub NPC may have any sort of background, be of any level and have any kind of quirks you like but is still subject to all normal EE Commandments.

Your pub NPC must be 10' tall and 6' wide or less in order to reasonably fit within the confines of the pub.

Your pub NPC may not have any direct connection in their background to the persistent NPCs of Eternity's End.

Nd'dhat is the ghost of an Alhoon floating at roughly six feet in height, his body eroded long ago. He is philosophical, a bit arrogant and coarse at first, but easy enough to get along with those who make the efforts to befriend him.

The Watchmaker A man sits a table all to himself, in what would be considered the best lit location in the Tavern. He would be considered alone to most people, except himself. The table he is at is mounded and strewn with cogs, gears, springs and a myriad array of other clockwork parts. His hands move meticulously over a small item in front of him, which sits on a leather work area, surround by a small array of tools. He has a small cup that he drinks from which you notice is occasionally refilled by the staff. "If only I could find one more piece. Then I might just get this stupid contraption to work!"

Lucid Burns Lucid is a skeletal something that is perpetually a cosmetic effect only within the pubengulfed in flames. He carries around a ball-and-chain which he refers to as his wifey. He loves to play games of strength and agility, using his wifey to hit targets in games of competition against others. He loves to gamble, betting people that he can hit or break certain targets better than them at the cost of either a brandy, a scotch, or a whiskey of their choice. He has to, as they say, fuel the fire. Well, my father was a fire colossus, and my mother was a necromancer. I'd really rather not get into it.

Sidama and Sidoma Sidama and Sidoma are a single Amphisbaena that has been blessed, or cursed depending on the view of the situation, with an intellect far superior to others of its race. Sid, as the creature is referred to when neither personality is specifically designated, is fourteen feet long and as thick as the trunk of a small tree. Its scales are yellow-green and have grown thick as the creature has matured. The more humanoid head is Sidoma, the male personality, and Sidama, the female one, is the more reptilian. Sidama and Sidoma have very different personalities and beliefs, but still always refer to itself as we at all times. During interactions with others, Sidama and Sidoma will sometimes break off into arguments with each other mid-conversation. "We are Sssidama and Sssidoma. We are two and we are one."

Admiral Julian Deyvanni the Stein-Lord and Brewmaster General Julian was once a naval officer aboard the Verity Sanguine. He obtained the rank of admiral in the Imperial Navy after reaching and promptly losing the rank of general of the city guard in his hometown. Julian refuses to accept the fact that his authority now means nothing, and flaunts it to whoever will listen. "So the tough-shot adventurer thinks he can drink? HA! Thugruck, bring out the mud milk!" "Sixty-four lanterns and sails away, through the ocean's waves of foam! Port was swell, but dry land is hell, cause the water's my only home!"

Articus Temporalis Articus does not stand out for his build or his height. He would seem otherwise average with the exception of his glowing eyes and lack of emotion in his face and mannerisms. As you approach he begins to bear a slight smile and you find it hard to anticipate if it is a genuine emotion or programmed response. Greetings. You're just in time...

Chosen for his keen intellect and natural understanding of time mechanics, Articus was re-created. Re-born as an Elan he embraced the life of a secret nomad. His understanding of time displacement only intensified by arcane study and psionic power of the mind.

After aimlessly experiencing other cultures, planes and viewpoints he was eventually confronted by strangers seeking to recruit him after he showed strong control of the temporal arts (and likewise chose a surname).

Pershmant The little old gnome stands about three feet high with a white beard that nearly reaches the floor. His thick, stretched skin has a leathery feel and a light brown color, and he smells like the pipe that he smokes. His bespectacled nose is overly large, and he is always wearing a purple top hat on his purple-tinged white hair, though nobody knows if it is to balance his large nose, to give him the appearance of extra height, or just because he likes hats. He is slowed as he walks by a lame leg which gives him a heavy limp, and his leg occasionally catches on his long beard. The gnome is always carrying around a pen and a book of parchment which never seems to run out of pages, something which perhaps led one way or another to his nickname Pershmant. The eccentric gnome is eternally writing down the stories of adventures that he hears, collecting them in his book, and his right index finger has gained a gentle curvature from having held a pen for so long. If pressed, he might tell you one of his own stories from his own adventuring days, but if asked to share any of the other stories he has collected, he will tell you curtly in his high pitched voice to buy a copy of the book once it's been published. "Have you heard any good stories lately?"

Zezhuanth Naam Zezhuanth Naam is a very patient man who enjoys good conversation and heroic tales. He enjoys learning and is always eager to hear stories from passing adventurers. He's a tall man standing 6'2”, though people swear his height changes from time to time. He has short, golden hair which is odd for a man of his age. And his complexion is fairer then his years suggest it should be. Zezhuanth Naam speaks mostly in common, but has yet to find a social partner for which he could not communicate with in their native tongue. He always greets new comers and is more then happy to lend a hand to anyone in need. Greetings traveler, what can I aide you with today?

Gurrik Unlike most kobolds, this one gives off a pleasant smell. Gurrik is always surrounded by strange potions, herbal remedies, and magical tomes. Once a chieftain/shaman to a large tribe of kobolds, the breath of eternity has given this one an unslakable thirst for infinite knowledge. One more page...

Snarpy (The Weltschmerz Hare) Snarpy The Weltschmerz Hare appears to have the build of an average humanoid, is a little above average in height, and his head and unbooted feet are certainly hare-like. But his hands are, while covered in fine white fur, are much like those of a man. The rest of him tends to remain folded into his dark green cloak. He drinks mainly water and on rare occasions a diluted fruit cordial. Few who attempt conversion with him are rarely met with any response apart from a blank gaze and a brief twitch of his nose. He will however sit and talk for hours with anyone who has a fondness for nature, especially those with an interest in botany or horticulture. *Twitch nose. Blink. Shake whiskers*
