As you agree on the final details of the plan, you gather up your things. Mortimer and Techaro head on out to the medical bay. Reaching the room, everything sparkles with a clean gleam. All of the instruments are stainless steel, and are polished to a bright shine. The room is tiled in soothing grey-blue tiles, and bright lights shine overhead. Several medical droids hover around waiting for orders. An doctor is doing something on a small computer at his desk when you enter. Looking up he quickly snaps to attention. My lords, what may I do for you today? Are you here to see the body? I just received clearance and orders from commander to lend you all my expertise in the matter?
__________________Bending over, he spends a few more seconds clicking away at the key board. Looking up, he heads to the back of the room where another door sits. Pulling a plastic access card from his pocket, he swipes it through the scanner. As it beeps, the door starts to slide into the wall. He walks through, and you guys follow. Massively colder, you breath steams in front of you. Sitting on an operating table under a plastic sheet is one body. He walks over, and pulls the sheet off to about half way down. A dead man lies there. A charred mess around his left shoulder shows where a laser shot hit him originally. A jagged section of his collar bone has been pushed through his skin. On his right bicep sits a tattoo of a blaster snapped in half. On the top half of his shoulder a tattoo of a Twi'lek woman. The doctor stands back from the table allowing you to take a careful look yourselves. As you step up and examine him, you find the Twi'lek woman to be naked, and positioned in a seductive pose. Further down his back sits a third tattoo. A symbol of the old Imperial Empire sits broken in half. An eagle perches on top of it. Examining the lower half, you find it to be a mess of broken bones. Some his limbs you can tell are broken simply by looking. Others only the X-Rays shows. The other three of you head on out of the compound. Breathing the clean air, you are greeted by the sight of high walls, and flags with the Trinity Symbol on them. Heading out onto the street, you quickly hail a taxi. Setting off to the bar, you will arrive in a few minutes. |

Leaning back in the seat of the cab, Novis yawned a little before glancing sideways at the other two. "When we go in there, I suggest we let Tails take the lead in questioning - see if good old-fashioned methods can't get us the info before we resort to other means," His eyes shifted over to Maevyss. "That alright with you?"

Sitting with her legs curled beneath her, Maevyss looked like she was about to be in a photo shoot. Maevyss nodded to Novis as she replied, “Of course. I’ll try charm first and then bribery. If those don’t work then feel free to jump in and use more aggressive interrogation techniques. I’m sure I don’t need to mention to watch our backs once I start dropping names and someone takes offense or gets alarmed.”
Maevyss regarded Zerek in his mask, a question suddenly nagging her. “Zerek, do you carry straws with you when you go out? How do you eat or drink through that? For that matter, is it hiding a hideous deformity or accident or just an affectation? Maevyss seemed genuinely interested in his answer and leaned toward him to look his mask over better as she waited for a response. Last edited by Nightshade; 08-15-2012 at 04:21 PM. |

Zerek ignored the droid. He didn't have much interest in her meaningless questions. His only focus was the job ahead. It was easy to understand that with her going inside the Sith would position themselves on the doors for if a potential mark tried to escape, or to help the droid take someone into custody to interrogate. While he didn't like the idea of subtlety in such matters, it was much easy to let the other two handle it how they wished before admitting that the inquisitor's means were a much more efficient solution.

"Right ray of sunshine," Normally it would have been a sarcastic response as Novis and Maevyss watched the taxi cut away, but with the Sith's rather deadpan, lazy delivery, it was hard to tell. Sticking rather close to Maevyss, he walked into the cantina with her and quickly singled out the bartender and pointed him out to the droid. "Might be our best bet for information. You work your charms, I'll try to read him and find out if he's lying."

Meavyss shrugged at Novis's comment about Zerek. "I'm used to the type. Coruscant Red seems to help but I think it would take more than one bottle to get him to loosen up. I suspect it either wouldn't work or I would discover he doesn't drink." Maevyss said it very casually and didn't look sidelong or wink at Novis to show him that she was joking as they headed inside.
Splitting up, Maevyss sauntered up to the bartender as Novis found a table. Taking a seat, she leaned over the edge of the bar with her arms close to her body, subtly pushing her breasts together and giving him a good view of her cleavage in the flimsy garments. "Evening. I'm looking for a friend of mine who waned to meet tonight for drinks and fun. Jack Pell? I know I'm a little late but have you seen him? |

Novis actually smirked a little at Maevyss' assessment of Zerek, knowing she likely wasn't too far from the mark. He found a nearby table and ordered a glass of Corellian Ale. As he waited for it, he glanced over at the bar where Maevyss was working her charms and quietly tapped into the Force, closing his eyes for a moment...

The taxi cab lands on the street dropping the two of you off. Looking around the neighborhood is completely trashed. You are well and truly into the slums of the capital city. Trash is stacked in loose piles that lose piece to the wind, and the windows of many place are boarded up. Government forces are complete gone from this sector. The taxi picks up off the ground before rounding the corner. Dropping the third member of the off on the curb, the cab quickly leaves back to safer havens. Looking at the bar, it has a small sign above the door way. Many of the windows are still intact which sets it a step above its surroundings. However the face of it is covered in graffiti and mismatched paint. A bouncer stands at the door checking people, but doing little to stop anyone from entering. Walking in only confirms you fear of a dive bar. The entire place is covered with a coating of dust. The lights barely light of the place casting the whole thing in dim light. There is weak music playing from somewhere in the rafters. When you step in though the entire bar seems to stop. Everyone turns and stares for several long, long seconds. The bartender stops polishing the shot glass with a dirty rag, the illegal gambling games all stop, and the drink half-way to the patrons mouth all stop in midair. Then time seems to unfreeze. Everything continues to happen except now there is a tense air to the place. The bartender is a tired looking Neimoidian holding a dirty rag. As Meavyss walks up he puts down the shot glass. Taking a long look down her shirt, he returns his gaze to her face. Never heard of him. Turning around, he grabs another glass of a rack. Starting to clean that one, he continues to stare at her face. |

Techaro pulls his cloak tight around him doing everything he could to stay warm. He did not like the cold room; he missed the hot dry air of his home. Looking at the dead human body did not even give a moment of concern. Being that it was not a jawa, it was looking at a dead animal to him. There is very little he can do here so he made sure to look the body over carefully making notes on his data pad and taking pictures where he saw weapon damage. The data may help him id the weapons later. He did not rush but he did not waste time. He wanted out of the cold. After completing his examination of the body, he goes over to Mortimer, “Cold, I wait outside”. He then heads back out to the warmer office and finds a chair he can get into. After climbing up onto it, pulls out his data pad and begins a very simple search to find the rebels. He is not slicing here but he is getting an idea of where they should go later. He also sees how far the access they have been given will take him into the military data systems on this planet.

The back of the bar is little better off then the surroundings. The owner obviously pays someone to keep the worst of the riff-raff away, but still is pretty rundown. It is still is covered in graffiti, has piles of trash, and is a patchwork of paint jobs. Boxes are stacked by a small employee door with a dingy old light above it. The street separates the building from a row old rundown apartments that are even worse off then the building. Every window seemed to be broken and boarded up, the entire side was covered in marks of one kind or another, and trash is heaped in every corner. A few vagbonds smoke something around a small barrel with fire in it. Everyone gives you a look to see if your worth a mugging, but after no more then a second they all turn away.

Morty takes a moment to look over the body, the damage was severe, but nothing he hadn't expected. "No problem Teshie, I want to do a quick scan and then we can head out." Knowing that there isn't anything he could do to keep bring the traitor back at this point anyway, Mortimer sees no need to be particularly gentle. Grabbing a vibro-scalpel of the table he starts making careful incisions, examining the body for marks, tracers, anything that might help lead him to further information about the rebels. Once his examination is completed Mortimer leaves the broken corpse to the droid and washes his hands, heading out to meet Techaro and find a transport to the Foot.

Zerek thought carefully about who they were looking for and why they would frequent this establishment when there was no doubt that many other nicer establishments dotted the area. The rear of the building, and the surrounding area spoke volumes about what made this establishment special. The sith moved over to the door and pulled on it gently, just enough to see that it was unlocked and not apparently alarmed. The seemingly abandoned building was of some interest. It was boarded up, and rather rundown in appearance, which made it a good spot should people wish to meet.
__________________Something was out of place though as Zerek studied the scene he found himself in. He watched the vagabonds for a moment and wondered why if they found the chill of the air too much, that they didn’t use the seemingly abandoned apartments as shelter. Annoyed by his curiosity, Zerek approached the small group slowly, preparing himself should they choose to attack, but also not wanting to scare them off just yet. “I find it interesting that you would suffer out here in the cold while there is a perfectly suitable set of apartments over there that you could use as shelter,” he said trying to be as non-threatening as he could be given his appearance. The mask and robes had their purpose, but also some major drawbacks at times like these. Persuasion: Change Attitude Dice Roll:
