Sure thing! You're gonna need it soon enough, walking out in front like that.

That was right before you arrived, and you were not there to find the altar to Tiamat, so no you do not have another Action Point and you spent the one you had.

Are their rope ladders on the wall opposite from Jarkan? If so, I say we stick at least our warlock buddy up there. The flying drake shouldn't be too much trouble if we can get a couple attacks to hit it. That would also keep him out of the way of the trap without putting him in the way of one of the heavily armored kobolds. It might also be a good idea to have everyone regroup in the room before we attack the final group of monsters.
I dunno how clear that is. So, kill the slingers, minion, and guard drake. Regroup in the center room. (I don't think a huge boulder like that can make 90 degree turns.) Put the warlock on the wall facing the chieftan. If the heavily armored kobolds don't have ranged weapons, only the chieftan and the spire drake can attack him. Also, he should probably wait until we hit the group before he jumps up there so he isn't exposed while we are still moving out. I can;t think of anything specific for the platform with the chieftan except to maybe have the more heavily armored go up the stairs while the lighter armored ones attack from the path of the trap and remember to move out of its way into the alcove by the stairs when it comes around. Whats everyone think? What would it take to jump down from the wall Jarkan is on? Last edited by Troy; 08-14-2010 at 05:02 PM. |

Well, I already teleported up next to Jarkan. Am planning on Thorn Whipping the chieftain and seeing if I can drop him from where he's at.

They are on the wall right at Jarkan's feet.
__________________Actually I meant for there to be one ladder on that wall, one ladder on the opposite wall. The kobolds use them to quickly get up to a commanding firing position in the room, safely clear of the boulder path. So once you get up there or into the room, it's not a problem to get up and down from that wall (a couple of slingers are obviously no match for you.) Jarkan (or any other character) can jump down from a ledge without injury and without spending extra movement points to descend if he succeeds on an Acrobatics check of at least 15. If he fails, he still makes it down, but he takes 1d10 falling damage and lands prone. |

Stiyl: There is no guard drake #3 in this battle. The only guard drake is behind 5 feet of solid stone... I guess you must have meant Slinger 1 is the target of your attack as well as curse. It is a miss anyway so not important.

What's the path of the boulder? Assuming i saw it irl, i could tell if it's going north around the platform or coming south towards us, via the roll it's veered and went north but the post said it was heading towards us. If it is i'm gonna try to gtfo, if not i'm gonna head towards the guy on the far right so lettme know good sir.

It came off the platform to the west (towards you) and then hit some depression in the ground and turned north, away from you. Use Dungeoneering if you want to try to predict its path better than that but in a couple of rounds you'll figure it out anyway. You're the last person this round we are waiting for... It would have been better if you left more detailed instructions on what you meant to do in each situation, like what power you wanted to use or if you wanted to just run back to the last room and abandon your friends.

Kshnik: Yes, you can use Tide of Iron to throw the drake off the wall (and possibly into the path of the boulder.) J6, I6, H6, H7, and H8 are all further away from you and legal squares for a push. However if you push the drake off the wall he'll get a saving throw to avoid falling off (and will go prone instead.) You can roll that, so you know whether you can shift into his space and move on: it's a plain d20.
