GeneralOfDarkness hit the "quote" button at the bottom of my post and copy what appears below here: Paste that in a text file or an email draft, change all the details so it fits your character sheet and copy it when it's time to make your turns. That's all you need for the formatting codes; you don't even have to understand what they do. Can you do that? JoeStevens the problem with posting dice rolls in the thread (which you can do if you really want to but I'd rather you don't) is that you can't go back and edit the post without the risk of messing up the dice. I prefer to simply avoid that possibility of errors. Also you might write some amazing attack where you throw all your energy into your attack to cleave the kobold's head right off his body, and then to mess with you the dice gods will give you a natural 1. If it's a big deal for you, you can roll in the spoilerbutton next to the actions list. They were supposed to have fixed the dice roller so that it doesn't flag your dice as altered when you edit unless you actually moved them around the post, but you can't be sure how well it works... Your standard action would be "Ready Sacred Flame against the first enemy who enters my range." You also need to write, who gets the temporary hit points or saving throw if you hit. I'll post something more detailed about how to ready actions later, but it's more advanced so I didn't want to start with that right away. The more important things I wanted to tell you about were things like charging, so I'll do the monsters' turn and then write that up. Yeah you can piggyback ride on a creature that's at least one size category larger than you, so the Small halfling can ride a Medium creature. Hugging and mounting are Minor actions. He'll add his weight to your weight limit (along with his armor and everything else of course), and can't make move actions without falling off. I don't know if it's such a great idea tactically. Still, the articles on "How to be a good DM" tell me not to say no to players' silly outlandish ideas. |

Haha how silly, my bad it's the 3.5 char I'm playing plus my usual rp name if you couldn't guess.

Silly? Outlanish? I think not. Tactically sound? I, also, think not.

You almost cut that kobold in half!

You can also see this in the "calculating damage" part of the Training Hall thread. |

I see now, i was a little confused before because a similar roll was marked as bad in the dice thread mechanics but after reading through it a couple of times i get it was just for skill checks and not attack rolls.

Yeah, for damage rolls you add your ability modifier and any other modifiers once, no matter how many dice you roll. Rolling like that adds it once. If you were doing multiple attacks or d20 checks of any kind, you would want to roll them separately and get the ability bonus to each. Like, if you had a power that could attack multiple targets you would want to use entirely different attack rolls for them and get the bonus to each roll individually.

Do not be alarmed that I moved the Training Hall. I am very strong and can lift buildings. But I use my powers for good. Well, convenience, laziness, those are good right?

You will get it, fighting well so far! I don't think they really stand a chance; barbarians can do a lot of damage, like that charge showed.
__________________If I were you, I would have shifted one square to I-6. That way you would no longer be flanked, and they couldn't get around you and Chant to flank you. Speaking of which: Whenever you and your ally are on exactly opposite sides of an enemy, you "flank" that enemy and have Combat Advantage (+2 to attack rolls.) This is the most common way for Rogues to get Combat Advantage. When they have it, they can do more damage than anyone with their Sneak Attack feature. The kobold skirmishers have a weaker version of this feature, so they also try to flank whenever they can. Using Stone's Endurance in this situation was a great idea! Now even if they hit your enemies will be frustrated to find that they can do only puny damage to you on their best attacks. By the way are the numbers on the kobolds visible enough? Yeah that is a move action and you can take your actions in any order you want. You can edit the post if that is what you want to do.
