The noises start again, but this time only one stands up. Out of desperation the figure launches an arcane blast at Zekö, which completely misses. While this is happening the fires blaze more intensely, and cover Hardok .

As Magog strikes his axe into the figure, the symbol of the traveler emblazons itself upon it's robes. It stumbles back a little before unleashing a bolt of arcane energy above his attacker, narrowly missing his head. This time the flames do not advance.

Magog
__________________As he is fighting, Magog suddenly notices the symbol of his own god on his enemy's robes. For a moment he stops and considers what he is doing. The Goblins he now fights with were never his friends. The only Goblins who cared about him are now dead. And he has a closer bond to this other follower of the traveler because of their shared worship. All those thoughts go out the door when the mage tries to attack Magog. Who ever said the traveler cared for his followers to get along. I care that this mage attacks me, if nothing else, and he will pay for it. Perhaps the traveler will see to his afterlife, perhaps not, Magog thinks as he quickly prepares to continue the fight. |

Muri races from the fire's clutches, launching arrow after arrow at the cloaked figure.

After the arrows, mace and zekö's fist the figure falls to it's knees. It looks up just in time to see Ruce firmly plant his sword between it's eyes. The flames roar even louder than before.

Magog
__________________Magog breaths a sigh of relief as he sees the mage fall to his news. For a moment, as the hood is pulled back, he wonders what a half orc mage was doing working the humans who apparently attacked the village. Everything is getting more and more complicated. However, he doesn't dwell on those thoughts, he doesn't even mention them to his comrades. Instead he checks himself over and makes sure he hasn't been injured. He is slightly surprised that he emerged from such a battle without a scratch. Perhaps his fellows are competent warriors, perhaps they will be a good group to fight with. When the holy symbol of the traveler is revealed on the mages body, Magog quickly snatches it up. A symbol of my god? This wouldn't be of interest to the rest of you, he says with a thin smile as he puts it around his own neck, hoping no one will challenge him for it. Now, who needs healed? I can heal all of you with my powers while we rest here. |

Ruce drops his battleaxe and grabs the dead mage by his robes. "You tell Golk where his mommy is. You tell him now dead man!" He vigoursly shakes the corpse before dropping it and walking away a few yards quietly sobbing to himself.

__________________Magog looks over in scorn at the doubled over Ruce crying his heart out, his face turned a grapish purple, babbling nonsense. This is the quality of the people Magog expects to help him survive? Then he turns back to the body. Everyone seems preoccupied. He reaches in towards the mage's purse, and then looks around. He picks up the money and starts counting it, but out in the open so no one thinks he is trying to steal it. Though he would take it all if no one else wants to make a claim on it. He looks at the Medusa-headed object, but doesn't think that would be entirely wise. Someone should check this Medusa headed device out. While I'm counting out the coins. Thinking of his missing mother, Ruce begins to walk expanding circles to try and find signs of his mother's trail thru tear bleary eyes and snot dribbling nose. " Thu-tthey took my mommy and I want her back. Do you know where they came from?", Ruce's red eyes plead to Magog.

Ruce rubs his eyes clear and points to the wagon tracks."Those were not there before. They mustve taken Momma that way!. " Ruce picks his axe back up and begins to slam it into the ground repeatedly. Let's go get her back!

__________________Magog frowns. Maybe we should be a bit more careful about this. We don't need to chase after them, we need to develop a strategy. Magog doesn't say that they should run off and never look back, but he'd be open to the suggestion. Besides, your mom was probably killed before that battle. We could go look for her body. In fact, as a priest, I think it's our duty to see to the bodies of our, uh, friends. |

Muri quickly scans the battlefield for sign of her arrows. Only two, she spits, returning the precious ammunition to her quiver. Loot the body quickly, she barks at the others, the flames might yet spread. There will be time enough to cry over the dead and plot revenge when we living are safe. Muri waits expectantly for the others to follow her away from the fire, away from their old lives.
