Magog is almost comforted by Muri's decisiveness. The party will need some decisive thinking to survive, especially with a cry baby like this Golk around. Still, Magog knows that Muri once tried to kill his mentor, the village Elder, and she can't be forgiven. For the moment, Muri will have to be considered as much of a danger as those who attacked the village. Still, it's better if she doesn't think I'm suspicious of her. Come on Golk. Come with us and we'll help find your mommy. And pick up that Medusa head device from the corpse, will you?

Muri betrays her impatience, tapping a yellow-green foot, while waiting for Golk and Magog to join her. How many days to the next village? And only twenty-one arrows to get me there. Not good. Plagued by such thoughts, Muri stills her tapping foot and runs a hand through the fine black stubble covering her otherwise bald head.

From what you can gather it is about 13 hour walk to the next village, and the wagon trail seems to head slightly northeast of it. You travel until you are about one hour from the town while still on the path of the wagon. The sun is beginning to set as you notice as see something shine towards the horizon.

__________________Magog does his best to see if he can figure out what it is, then he doesn't want to approach. Are any of you stealthy? Perhaps one of us should try to get close and get a good look. I'm afraid I'm not able to sneak up on anything myself. But one of you others might be good at that. Magog smiles at the others after ending his question/request.

Muri nods. This I can do, she offers in a hushed tone, before stalking off toward the horizon and the odd shine. With each silent step, Muri makes a mental note of her course and its deviation from the path to the village. Periodically, she even uses a big toe to make an indent in the ground, so that she'll be better able to pick up the trail should she have to follow it again.

__________________It looks like they may making another attack up there. Maybe they're burning another village, or maybe they're umm... Magog looks at Golk and decides not to finish. Suggesting that the enemy might be doing something to some of the captives that involves fire and swords probably wouldn't help the situation. Whatever it is, I can only guess. We should wait here for Muri to come back. He secretively takes out the money he found on the body of mage after the last fight, wondering why no one else decided to claim any of it. Muri silently slinks back toward her companions. There is an armored man, resting, surrounded by the bodies of orcs. Together we could take him, or if we wait long enough, we can loot the bodies of the fallen. I need more arrows.
