All through the night, you worried about what was in the well. What creature could have four legs? Furthermore, what kind of strange creature makes a sizzling sound, and could kill the town's greatest adventurer and seven guards in one fell swoop? The thought of facing whatever was down there was terrifying, but you know that until the drought is solved, the puzzle would forever plague your mind. Your eyes open one by one as the searing desert heat slowly seeps into your bedroom, waking you from your sleep. It's dawn (about 6am) Last edited by Chekken; 08-19-2010 at 07:11 PM. |

Tim was the first one up. He collects all of his gear and heads downstairs. He finds a table near the door and makes sure there are several chairs around it. Sets down his pack on the ground near a chair and plops himself down.

Swald slowly regains consciousness and he feels the arms of the lithe elf around his body. He smiled as the events of the previous night returned to his mind.
If only you had consented to returning to the temple... Pelor would have enjoyed the events, I'm sure. We may even have enjoyed a bit of... divine assistance to our revels. This place simply doesn't foster a healthy appetite. Perhaps... next time. Swald detangled himself from Mazia's embrace and scrawled a note on one of his sheets of paper. Swald leaves the note under Mazia's hand and rushes to the well, hoping to finish this business and return to the temple sooner rather than later. Last edited by JHouck8390; 08-19-2010 at 07:37 PM. |

Quiivern crawls out of bed and has difficulty finding his clothing strewn about on the floor. He gathers all of his belongings, not comfortable enough to leave anything in this wretchedly pink room. He quickly goes out the door and to the kitchen. In the kitchen, he searches for food that he can shove in his mouth before he steps outside into the hard sun, which he can already feel the heat from. He can't wait until he gets underground and away from that blasted sun. As Quiiven's searching, he thinks Today will be a dangerous day. Maybe I can earn back a little respect. His animosity with the orc has left his mind due to the quality of his night and lack of seeing Azog. Last edited by Magnai; 08-19-2010 at 07:38 PM. |

At some point in the night, Gregor had given Azog the healing he had requested. However, after the events of the night, both were far too exhausted to speak further. Azog removed his chain shirt and the rest of his clothes, and collapsed into bed, falling asleep immediately.
__________________Azog was always a hard sleeper, and he rarely dreamed. He slept through the whole night, and awoke as the sun rose. Once he awoke, he got up, and stretched vigorously. The upcoming battle would be a difficult one, and Azog had to be ready. After completing his morning rituals, he dressed himself, donned his armor and equipment, and put on his tooth necklace. Finally, he removed the chicken bone he acquired in prison, and tied it around his fist with a thin twine, then rolled his sleeve down over it. Now, whoever he punched next would be in for quite the surprise. And if that didn't happen, well, he would still have a nice trophy from his internment. He went downstairs, eager for some breakfast. A nice pork chop sounds delicious right now... He saw Tim, and headed over to him. "Greetings, Krisshik. Are you ready for the day? The Hugh-man told me he would meet us at the well today. Once everyone else has awoken, we should eat quickly and head over. There is little time to waste." |

After four hours of trance Raiiel's eyes flick open, her skin like ice, bumps running up her body, it was downright stupid of her to sit with light clothing and hunkering down for the night. Fridgid and shivering she turned to the bed looking to her dog, he seemed to be doing better in the darkness with his fur, but it had been shedding heavily since they got to Rolt and left him more succeptible to the cold then one would expect from a german sheppard. Hastilly she performed her ceremony, drawing the power of the earth into herself even in this wasteland, with her magics restored she shoved Sigil to the side a bit so she could lay down on the bed, curling the blanket around herself and Sigil to share their warmth. Her sword being set aside as she closed her eyes and drifted off for a bit longer, lost in thought, occasionally drinking some of the water from last night and chewing on some bread.
Finally she pulled herself up, and she was much more well rested then she had ever needed before. Quietly she slipped out of bed and onto the floor, she tossed her last hunk of meat to Sigil and kicked him slightly telling him he was going to get up now. After preparing her armor and bags she made her way downstairs, looking to who was already up...Tim, no surprise there, he was probably up the same time as her, and Azog. Well met... she said quickly to them before heading for the door explaining she would be purchasing some new materials from the market before she descended into the well. |

Quiivern smiles and rejoices when Sherry says her name. THAT'S IT. He managed all night without it. He pinches Sherry in a naughty place. Ok. If you insist. We want to get out as soon as possible so only if it's quick. Wait... Quiivern's shocked. You have armour? Horses? I don't know if we need the horses. I don't want to put them in danger.
We should talk about this with the others. Quiivern goes downstairs and sees the party already down. Quiivern announces, Now that you've enjoyed bed. Enjoy food. It's coming. Sherry's cooking. Silently, he celebrates that he remembers her name. After his announcement, he goes to the bar, pours himself a mug of ale. Anyone else? Quiivern hasn't registered that the orc is in the room yet. He's still sorta post-coital. Last edited by Magnai; 08-19-2010 at 08:52 PM. |

As Tim sees Raiiel descend into the common room, he stands respectfully.
__________________"Good morning Raiiel." "It is a little early, I doubt many shops will be open, I can go with you if you would like help." He sees Quiivern bustling about. At his question, he replies "Not right now, thank you" he contemplated the dwarf for a moment, he did not know him apart from his obvious dislike of Azog, but such things can be mended. Raiier paused...he was right, the market probably wouldn't open until later in the day. She turned to adress Tim quickly with a slight bow of respect, it was how she was used to greeting other elves to the point it happened instintually. Good Morning Tim...I trust your trance was relaxing.
With a smile she approached the bar, having a seat as she looked to Quiivern with a bit of a laugh You have my thanks but no...unlike my dwarven compatriots I can't handle alcohol much in the morning...in fact, it's not something I'm accustomed to having save for a glass now and then. With that she moved to speaking to Tim again I'd be happy to hit the market after breakfast, how long do you think we'll be down there? |

Quiivern sits down on a barstool facing the party. He drinks the mug slowly. Hydration's good. The alcohol is a small bonus. If you can't have water, you get ale.
Quiivern does not wait for anyone to respond. I vote we should get going fast. We could check the tunnels out while someone goes shopping for us. If we're lucky, we can kill a couple Kobolds before the shops open. Quiivern thinks for a bit. Personally, I could use some scale mail and maybe a dwarven urgosh. My hide armor has done me well in the forest but it can't hold its own against a giant creature. Quiivern puts down his mug and waits. |

Azog growled, not in a threatening manner, it was just typical for him: "Just breakfast. I will not cloud my mind in such ways for now." He was too relaxed for now to antagonize Quiivern, and after all, Azog had no quarrel with him. It had always been Quiivern that quarreled with Azog. Best to just relax, eat, and save energy for the oncoming battle for now.
__________________To the elves, who seemed to be eager for shopping, he said to them: "Do not forget, Krisshik, the Hugh-man wished to meet us at the well. We should not let him tarry there too long. There is business to attend to this day, after all." He noted that the two seemed to be hitting it off rather rapidly. Surprising, for such long-lived folk. Azog did not care too much, however. It wasn't his business or problem. |

Tim retakes his seat after Raiiel sat down.

I'm sure there are not too many things that need purchasing before we enter, it shall not delay us long." Last edited by fred; 08-19-2010 at 09:35 PM. Reason: Ninja'd, responding to said ninjas |

Raiiel reached over the bar to grab hold of the pitchers she had seen Edea get for her previously and set them down on the bar. Quietly she held her hands over them for a moment. And with a sharp inhale let the freezing waters flow from her fingertips into the pitchers. Once they were full she shoved a pitcher towards Azog Do predators ever forget the buisness of the day when it's hunting their prey Azog? then to Quiivern If I happen to see the items you request I'll certainly inform you, although I'm afraid I cannot purchase scale mail for you, even if I assumed you had the money to pay me back.

After a short while Sherry comes back down from the kitchen carryng a couple trays holding large quantaties of garlic scrambled eggs, bacon as well as a large loaf of bread. "I hope everyone enjoys, Me and daddy sure hope you manage to find out whats wrong in the well." after placing the food on the table and grabbing a stack of plates and forks for the party, she heads back to the kitchen to prepare food for lunch. As she leaves she winks at Quiivern. "I also hope you all come back in one piece"
