Lieon misses. Nalok sets a ladder on fire, causing half of the orcs/goblins that cross the makeshift bridge to die. Aqua takes out 6 orcs/goblins and 10 crossbowmen. Dice Crossbowmen:
The crossbowmen miss, and they head back into the castle to protect the peasants. However, you hear the peasants fending for themselves, able to do so by their sheer numbers. However, even their numbers begin to fall due to the superiority of the Orglick Alliance army's training. Dice Peasants:

Now, go back into the castle and roll a d20 to see how many orc/goblins you kill. Roll a d10 with DC 3 to see if you take 10 damage. Or, alternatively, you could roll a 1d4 to see how many you kill without threat of losing HP. Chickens don't get auto-kill rolls. They're just in the balistae for when wave 2 rolls around. At the ladder that's left of course They're all in the castle now, so it's kind of pointless. :| Oh...disregard that then. I jump down and take out a pint of oil. ... No, just no. No chicken-recruiters. Bandwagons don't work the same way with chickens. But I'll give you one more for the nat 20. Manga has 6 sammiches, 9 chickens. "Thank the gods!" It was Dium, battered and bloodied, but still alive. "Got trampled by those bloody orcs and goblins. But that's beside the point. There'll be another wave when they notice their colors aren't flying on the castle's pole. We must evacuate now, while we have the chance." But who will slow them down for the rest of us to retreat? We'll need to tell the king at once, but that won't be possible if those bastards catch up!" Sir Kalukt exclaimed, suddenly at a loss. He turned to the players, pointing his finger as though in accusation. "You! You mercenaries fought well. Do you have any ideas?" "Well, I think the choice is obvious. We have those who can fight stay here, and those who can't evacuate to the capitol to inform King Churoam. But I guess I'm open to ideas."

@aqua: Could you play my character? I need to go to bed now. Formula:
1. Use Balista. 2. Get chickens to use balistas. 3. If a chicken is left, have him recruit more chickens (unless horus forbids you). 4. Spout something crazy about chickens being awesome. 5. Summon a sammich.
