"He seems to understand what I am saying but his return communication is just motions." Larin responds to Lunette. "If you could do that for us tomorrow so we can better communicate with him that would be great."
"Ardusk, he is not just some stupid beast from the woods. There is something different about him. I can not place my finger on it but I see it in his eyes. I will not ask him to do circus tricks." Larin says with a little disgust in his tone considering Red had just helped them slay some of the goblins. |

Ardusk looks puzzled, What're ye talking about? I never said it was stupid, didn't ye hear me say it was smart? Ardusk shrugs and drops out of that conversation too, shaking his head with a sigh, I dunno why everyone is so on edge, I though the Sword Coast was full of rougher, more dangerous types and yet here I am getting dirty looks and reprimands for every other word I say. He sighs and stares wistfully to the northeast, his gaze going out in the general direction of Cormyr, Can't believe I'm already wishing I were back home, I always laughed at the graybeards and old maids who told me that they'd rather die in Cormyr than live forever in the rest of Faerun.

Lunette
"Well, we can look forward to tomorrow to find out. Where are we heading now though? Should we be finding shelter? I have a tent, but it only sleeps two." She instantly was thrown into a new line of thought after that. Which of these people, practically strangers, would she share her tent with? And having only her undergarments as sleepwear no less? Evendur was nice, but she hadn't forgiven him yet. Ardusk seemed a bit gruff, and there was something inherently weird about sharing the tent with a Dwarf or a strange monkey. The elf was still quite mysterious, and had those weird eyes that were a little unnerving. Maybe she'd just be better off letting two of them take it, and she'd make herself a lean-to out of branches... "We should find a place off the road, where we can be safe from night time attack."

Korch’k looked back and forth from the group member known as Ardusk, then to his first encountered Larin. His juvenile mind raced for a way to show them that he understood, but couldn’t make himself understood, as they were saying. His eyes caught the view of a short stick and he slowly moved himself to the instrument. His time in this predicament hasn’t been without benefit. The baboon tried to think of something not usually known by the typical animal.

"All the arguing has upset him, look he is going to hit someone with a stick." Larin notices Karchu'k grab the stick from the ground.
"Red and I can take the first watch from up in the trees. Red, put the stick down no one is mad at you." Larin says to the red chested ape. "Do you want to climb up here and we will watch for greenies?" |

As the last of the goblins is tied up, you all move off into the edges of the forest, following the obvious tracks of the goblin runners, just south of your battlefield. The sky has been gradually darkening during your fight with the goblins and inner party squabbling. After another thirty minutes of walking you set up camp in a small clearing within the forest, surrounded by the trees but with enough space to pitch some tents. The night goes on peacefully and though some of you keep watch, no one sees anything throughout the night.
