So should this thread be the fighting-thread-request thread to keep things tidy or...?
Whatever. Maraxus walks drunkenly into the place, smiling like some child who had just convinced his parents to give him sweets. However, the smile is wiped off of his face the moment he sees his step-brother, Nirisk. He sobers up a bit, walking toward his step-brother. "So, are you ready?" Nirisk asks Maraxus as he approaches. "Aye. As much as I'll ever be," Maraxus replies, gathering his things. "Well, then, Alpha," Nirisk says, turning his attention back to the warforged. Maraxus examined the warforged, having never encountered such a piece before. "I suppose we're ready for a match, then. Opposite sides of the arena, I would think?" |

"That would be correct. You will enter from the Red Team's tunnel, and my partner and I will enter from the Blue Team's side," Alpha replied. Alpha looked around a moment, "First I must find my partner if we are to do this correctly." Alpha leaves Nirisk and Maraxus in search of a partner for the battle.

Yeah sure I'm in(Also it's Alek, with a k). Since it's you guys I'll rp it, but I still want OOC specifics on where people are and what they're doing(Like moving to A2, Using daily power [power name].

I hope that works.
__________________Could we get Sticky added to the official OOC threads please to make it easier. Also, as far as rules: Editing a roll(rolls marked with a red asterisk (*), or posts containing deleted rolls will result in automatic Misses. I'm not sure how you want to handle fumbles, but I always liked: Rolling a natural 1 on an attack roll is an automatic miss, immediately ends the character's turn, and causes the character to grant combat advantage to all opponents until the start of the character's next turn. It's a good balance in my opinion to a Critical Hit. If we don't all agree, we can just go with plain old Automatic Miss. Also, sorry about the misspell again in the Thread Name. It won't let me fix it. Sorry, I keep wanting to say Alex and not Alek. Last edited by saratek187; 09-21-2010 at 08:01 PM. |

For me, I just prefer an automatic miss on a natural 1. However, I always like to make it more of an epic fail in the in-character parts. It's more amusing, imo, and, since this isn't exactly the most serious thing on earth, why not? ;D

Well think about it, rolling a Nat 20 gives you an automatic hit and max damage. a Nat 1 is just a miss... That's uneven if you ask me. With my example, it makes rolling that Nat 1 on par with a Nat 20 and is pretty reasonable.

Yeah but combat advantage against all opponents ? I'd say just the one you're targeting, or just granting an opportunity attack against them would be good too.

I can go with Combat Advantage towards the target you were attempting to attack.

Well well well, given that the the Bard got decapitated and the warlock surrendered, that makes Alpha and Alek the Grand Champions of the Death Pit right now. I think that there may need to be a battle between the two of them to see who the real Grand Champion is. What you think Tetron?

I'd just like to point out that the battle was not entirely fair, given the fact that it was two defender-role classes vs. a controller and a leader class. <.<

Personally, I don't think a character needs a head to keep fighting.

Horus, the only mistake you made which was actually one that meant death for you was not staying mobile. If you would have moved out of the that spot initially, moved far off from the warriors, you could have done it. You made tactical errors, to be honest, and that really killed you. Alpha went after the first enemy to attack and would have stayed on that person the entire time. With both, powers that hinder movement or knock prone or the like would have been perfect as well as spending an AP early to decimate someone. When I saw that you hadn't move out of there, I immediately thought, "Well this match is over."
