He flipped open his spellbook to a certain page, looking it over quickly before closing it. He stared at the warforged and muttered something in some arcane language. The orb in his left hand shook slightly, and then silver, gaseous rays escaped from it and rushed toward the warforged. Only Maraxus and Alpha could see the whispering shroud that engulfed Alpha's head. "Alpha... Alpha... Alpha..." the voices would chant as they muttered other incomprehensible words. Maraxus laughed again as he saw his spell "work its magic" on the warforged. Last edited by horusmaster9; 09-23-2010 at 03:58 AM. |

As Alpha went down to the ground Alek moved around behind the melee and right up to Maraxus. "The only thing I like about wizards is how squishy they are so I suppose I'll take you out first !" Once he was within range of Maraxus Alek drew his sword with the same startling speed as before and in one fluid motion made a low powerful slash at the wizard's legs.

Don't forget to roll for the save against the ongoing 5 acid damage, tetron. ;P

Ah right. I spent forever trying to find out what to roll for the save, didn't know about the 50/50 thing.

Nirisk quickly steps back out of the reach of the blade of the warrior who had just attacked his step-brother. He couldn't do much to help him, but that was fine. Maraxus was doomed once the warriors arrived anyway. Still, Nirisk whispers a few words laden with magic, and it seems to make Maraxus look something improved as he staggers backwards from the blow that Alek had inflicted. He was lucky, too. A direct hit would have probably knocked him out. (Maraxus regains a total of 10 HP back, has 5/6 surges left, and slides back from H1 to G1)
As Nirisk steps back, he yells at the warrior who had aimed for his step-brother. Golden light streamed from his lute as he did, encircling Alek and causing quite a light show for the audience to enjoy. The golden ribbons then became needle-like, striking Alek in various areas of his body. Last edited by horusmaster9; 09-23-2010 at 08:23 PM. |

It was a mistake for the Bard to try and cast while within reach of the warforged. Alpha takes a swing given the opportunity and wounds the bard slightly. But he wasn’t done yet. Knowing that this battle could get rough for him and his partner, Alpha decided that now was the time to utterly destroy his opponent. With a quick swing of his sword, the Tiefling took a hard hit to the shoulder, throwing him off balance enough to allow Alpha to push him back with his shield. Alpha was not finished though, he took a step, planted his feet, gained a rush of energy and swung hard at the Tiefling. In a moment of brilliance, the sword sliced cleanly through the Bard’s neck, sending Nirisk’s head flying off into the crowd. The crowd went silent as only the sound of a few gasps could be heard. Such an act of brutality wasn’t particularly unheard of, but the sight of such a monster doing such a thing to a man brought fear to many.

Given the fact that they were very squishy casters, I'm not surprised that they lost. What I didn't expect was for a one-turn kill. <.<
I guess Maraxus surrenders, considering he's even more squishy than his step-brother. ;P EDIT: Also, Nirisk respawns somewhere in the stands. Somehow. So he can be ready for more battles if anyone not squishy would like to team up. :P Last edited by horusmaster9; 09-24-2010 at 03:47 PM. |
