was mostly keeping an eye out for anything interesting outside, especially someone leaving. i'm assuming our Tanner lives in #22 on the map or 28? and the mayor in one of the larger buildings with views of the ocean: #s 10 or 20? which would put the back end of the inn where Chandlar and Sabrina go to hide (away from the public square) faces main street and the sea?
