You're having issues with firefox crashing too? I am. It's been crashing on me a lot here lately.

It was fine until one of the updates about a month ago. Now it doesn't seem to be very stable.

I know what you mean. Mine seems to crash on me when I have a tab open to fanfiction.net.

I miss the old versions of firefox. The ones that didn't have extraneous features and didn't crash on me for no apparent reason. =/

Yeah, the current version of Firefox has really nasty memory leaks which Mozilla refuses to admit exist.

Which is why I switched to Google Chrome yesterday.

Pretty good, actually.

There's some fairly major layout changes which require some getting used to, but for the most part they're to the good, condensing most of the stuff in the toolbars and such so that you get the same functionality from a smaller taskbar section, leaving more space for the actual page content.

It's got the same extension system that Firefox does, with a large collection of extensions by both Google and third parties. I grabbed an adblocker, a gmail monitor, and search widgets for youtube and wikipedia. There's other stuff available for all the major social networking sites and IMing and stuff, but I'm not so interested in that stuff.

The only real complaint I have so far (obviously discounting the issues caused by my not yet being quite accustomed to the interface) is that it doesn't seem to like playing all youtube videos. Regular videos play just fine, but some of the "special" ones, like VEVO channel vids or whatever don't like loading properly. And it wouldn't surprise me if this could be fixed by changing a setting or updating flash player or something.

I might give it a try then, if something that I've just recently added to firefox doesn't work out for me. It seems to be, so far.
