WoW is going to die.

I'm waiting on The Old Republic as well, but honestly.. the more I see of it, the less impressed I'm getting. I just can't get past the "stylized realism" graphics style (what they call it), and from all videos released so far.. animations and whatnot just look.. clunky.

I personally like ddo, yes, I am aware it only pretends to be like real d&d, but aside from that, it is great. The combat system is great and (most importantly for me) its free.

Uh, the main thing I hate about DDO is that I have no idea what the **** I'm doing in the game half the time. Theres a bit of pointlessness to it, considering your characters don't really feel alive. SWTOR has actual voice-acting, which I would assume makes the character feel more alive. It certainly did that for me in Mass Effect. I like the art style. In fact, I like pretty much any art style that isn't complete ****. So... yeah.

i love the grease spell harming your allies though, I just played sorcerer for the first time with a bunch of friends last night. Grease is hilarious. Now I just got flaming hands. The last dungeon we were able to do last night I wiped everyone with a grease bomb.

I can't play DDO - not Mac-friendly. Eventually I'll install a Windows partition because two of the design packages I use are Windows-only, but I haven't needed them lately so I just haven't done it.
This game should start tomorrow - I'm planning to finish going over the characters tonight now that my migraine seems to be done with me. We won't need to wait for the needed changes because I'll just ignore anything I had to disallow (haven't run into anything yet, but I'm not done - so far it looks like everyone paid attention to the restrictions I placed on characters). |

This is why I'm a PC. I'd rather not have to deal with getting Windows on a Mac, especially when I can just configure an Alienware to be 10x better.

Sorry about that - I had computer issues (internet actually) last night and never finished up because I got sick of resetting the cable modem (they're doing upgrades and it's been wreaking havoc). It seems to be fairly stable today, so I'll get it finished up tonight (but not necessarily before midnight).

Question: 1. Should I incorporate a stealth check into my in game post?
__________________2. If so, how? By that I mean, how should I meld it, if it needs a spoiler tag, how do I do that, and how do I roll the dice? thank you, I hope this doesnt bother you. I'm new to play by post dnd. |

Stealth checks aren't necessary unless you're trying to sneak along the road, or through the trees along the road. Passive insight and perception checks I'll take care of as appropriate.
An example of one way to do this would be: Dice stealth check:
With notes as to what bonuses or conditional modifiers were included below unless they're obvious (you don't need to include a bonus that's always active). Last edited by Ianae Skydancer; 11-14-2010 at 10:34 PM. |
