Feel free to roll in the game thread, it's easier for me than crawling through multiple threads figuring out what everyone is doing.

I forgot to ask for marching orders - I'll need one for relatively open areas like this where you're able to spread out a bit, and another for narrower areas where you may be forced to go single file. I will use these to begin encounters unless you've specified a different order in the game thread.
Also, I will make passive insight and perception checks for you as needed, but you're always welcome to make active checks, which may have a chance of success where a passive check would fail if you roll well. In case anyone hasn't picked up on this yet, I prefer you roll dice in the game thread (unless it's a roll you only want me to see and you don't know how to use the [SECRET] tag. I will respond to rolls either in secret text that only the relevant people can see in a regular game post, or by PM. I will try to use secret text where possible. If you haven't indicated on your sheet which weapons/implements you're actually wielding, I will assume your hands are empty at the start of an encounter. Combat, or any other instance where initiative is important, will be run as close to normal as possible. The Character Status thread will sort according to initiative, and I will add any adversaries to the list as needed. If this turns out to be far too cumbersome I may switch to a more streamlined method, but I find the streamlined methods lacking in much of what makes combat so much fun in D&D. |

Percival is happy to be a shield at the front of the party when moving into dangerous and narrow situations like down a corridor, or to be first through a door or into a monsters lair. When there is a bit more room, or when the threat of attack is less, he will hang near the middle to be able to access the front or rear of the party to hurt or heal as situations arise.
So unless otherwise specified, his sword will be sheathed and he will be in the middle to front half of the marching order |

If with the area is wide enough and there is cover to the sides, Khaz and Orion will be close to that cover (especially if it is forest) or may be crawling through it. If forest they will most likely be running through it or close to it. If no cover, they will be behind Percival and slightly to the right. If single file, they will either be 2nd and 3rd, or 3rd and 4th, depending on where Zombzeez is I believe, seeing as he is the other melee.

Naeve would prefer the middle position, due to her squishyness. She will have her orb held and dagger sheathed (and hoping it'll stay that way!)

This is my interpretation of the marching orders
The latter allows Khaz and Orion to slip out of the line-up to wander through any available cover. Last edited by Ianae Skydancer; 11-18-2010 at 04:35 AM. |

I've started an information thread for maps. The map in the first post represents your positions a couple of minutes ago, so I can give you at least two rounds of travel ALONG THE ROAD (except for Khaz and Orion who have already stated they'd be in the foliage or other cover if it was available) to reorder yourselves in case I misinterpreted the order you were suggesting.
The repositioning represents movement you've already made, so I'll assume that after the two rounds of movement you're at the current point in the game thread and continue from there. |

Yeah, I can be pretty much anywhere. So those orders look good.

Khaz moves to Y8 and Orion moves to Y7

Looks good to me. I would assume Naeve would walk 65 per round along the road, so X6 then S7 - but in formation should that change anything.

Take into account the slowest among you (slowest speed is 5), and the positions taken by those who posted before you to position yourself accordingly. Probably the most critical is for those who want to be up front to move first so everyone else can position themselves behind them.

Anyone that hasn't posted their repositioning move by midnight MST loses the right to complain about where you end up. The map and request for moves has been up for just over 36 hours and only three people have responded - only two of those actually told me where they were moving.
