Alright, working on the application, and I've got more questions:

Do we need a character sheet ready with the app before the deadline?

Starting Wealth?

Any suggested reading on the Doppelgangers(I mean fluff)? Or "stuff we should know"?

Any desired format for the application?

A word from the player of the Mind Flayer:

Memories of house rules in the character creation process:
1. I recall we used the mind flayer racial class, which is relevant as intelligence stat boosts came according to the progression rather than at level 1. This affects skill points, so it might be relevant. Doppelgangers get their +2 Int at ECL 5.
2. Precise arrangement of levels can often help BAB, HP and saves in gestalt, but we don't have to worry about that. Lormador uses the rule that you order your classes in terms of strength of BAB and use them in that order for fractional BAB. So having fighter 1/wizard 9//barbarian 2/sorcerer 8 would give BAB 3+7*0.5=6.5
Saves are done the same. So that example build would be equivalent to full good will saves from 10 levels, and good fort saves from 3 levels.

Roleplaying:
You may be wondering if it will be fun roleplaying food creatures. Or whether it will be necessary to prepare to kill the tyrant. The answers are: yes, and definitely not, respectively. While I'm sure your brains are indeed tasty, mind flayer flesh is probably tasty as well. But both doppelgangers and mind flayers are used to having allies, and they are few and far between in the city where we start. I don't want to spoil things, but life is currently tough.

And if it gets better, well... we're all evil, yes. But let's be Goldman Sachs evil rather than Charles Manson evil. Nothing succeeds like a cabal.
