I know I've got a level of fighter, but that was really just to increase the survivability of my mount. >.>

I'm still only gonna be in combat if the *real* front-liners set me up for some flanking.

Sadly until I level up like 2 more times or so, my role in the party is kinda bleh. Can't do much damage as is, so I stocked up on utility invocations. Scent, like a boss.

Oh, sorry Jai! I am not used to running with sword sages! And the rogue fighter might run well front line, his HP and AC are as high as mine anyway. Ok, less worried now...

My thoughts are this: Monkey grip allows you to use weapons one size larger with no penalty. As a large creature can use a medium two-handed weapon as a one hander I don't see why you can't Monkey Grip it. If Dusdane doesn't want to allow that, just switch to Large Longswords it'll be the exact same effect.

yeah i know about the -1 for strength but it was to depressing so i wanted to just keep it off and take one off the rolls so i can feel better about myself. but i'll put it on

According to the rules in PHB uner inappropriately sized weapons you take a -2 penalty for a difference in size in the weapon, and the weapons type ie light, one handed, two handed goes up or down with the size. If you had monkey grip you are counted as a large creature for the purpose of wielding weapons at a -2 penalty, so to use a medium 2 handed weapon in one hand with monkey grip would take a -4 penalty to attack rolls.

Then I suppose large longswords are the answer. There would be a slight decrease in damage (compared to the bastard swords), but the extra rages could really pull the group through some tight spots.

Also, in answer to an earlier question about speeds being in red. Yes, medium and heavy loads count as medium/heavy armors respectively when calculating combat movement.

I'd go with the longswords and extra rage. Chances are your gunna wanna rage more then once a day, and losing 2 max damage from weapon damage rolls isn't going to cripple you =/

Duh, it doesn't actually NEED to be a brawl. We're tiny, we can hide in the crowds. Personally, I'd be running from table to table, grabbing unattended drinks, and hucking them with the furious precision of an Elven Archer. You can always create an Illusion or summon a monster or something. Summon a spider and hang on the ceiling, watching things go down... OR, you can come with me and we'll steal everything from the barkeep's till while people are rampaging.

If you happen to be hiding behind the bar when and if a brawl breaks out. :3
