Dragar looks at the mule rider. "I am in this group because it seems like this will lead to a fight, and I'm always up for a good fight. Besides, the tavern brawl just wasn't enough."

Jinx makes as courteous a half-bow as she can from her saddle and with an encouraging sort of smile at Isaac, urges Genevieve forward, ready to dismount should the cave be smaller than the captain seems to thing. I wonder why the king needs him. Perhaps I can be of some assistance in the task, she says to herself in a rather absent-minded tone.

"No objections here, sir!"
He seems rather pleased to be of help. Also, upon hearing "Code of Honor", Scratch's mind positively explodes with ideas and plans to abuse it. Anyone adhearing to a code had morals or restrictions that he did not, and that mean it would be that much easier to exploit them. |

Caves. Why does it always have to be caves? Fredrick thought to himself. He absolutely hated caves. So dark and dirty, and almost always filled with some brutish monster or another.
Well, if we must, lets get a move on and check out the caves. Fredrick follows the guards and the rest of the group, staying a few paces back just in case they were attacked by any monsters. |

"Dryads in...caves? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't dryads tree people? What are the doing in caves?" Ranz thinks out loud hoping he is not meta-gaming as he

The leading guard promptly turns towards Ood. He seems rather annoyed and angry. "Listen you little peasant. I am the leader here. Those caves are the home of the Dryads. Thats what I was told. Now, you can come, or you can leave. It is up to you." He then turns fast and continues trotting towards the mouth of the overly large cave entrance. His second guard merely laughs at Ood and continues with him. Issac doesn't seem convinced. "Something is not right here, you got that right. But I'm bound by honor. I have to follow him in." Issac then continues on towards his captain. The terrain gets rockier leading up to it, and mounts will soon need to be left behind. Pretty soon, they will be right next to the entrance.

Grick cares little for why the Dryads are in the caves. Caves good to sleep in. Perhaps Dryads sleepy. Confident that his rationalization were as good as any other, Grick follows the soldiers up to the cave entrance. Thinking himself rather witty he explains to the others Why they in caves does not matter. Soon, we can ask them! |

Trying not seem like he's getting excited about how easy this take will be, Scratch asks nonchalantly:
"Hmmm... Out of curiousity, how many of you guys have a 'Code of Honor', and what exactly does that mean? I hear it often enough but never had the finer details explained..." |

Jinx watches the exchange between the guards and Ranz with more than a little unease. Now that it was brought up, it does seem unusual for dryads to be in a cave. And the captain's reaction was oddly overboard. The whole situation was setting her on edge. Swinging gracefully from her saddle, she guides Genevieve toward the cave, warily watching the guards at the entrance to the cave.
Distractedly, she answers Scratch, A code of honor is just a system of rules for behavior. There are lots of different ideals about what's honorable; different codes have different rules. |

I know it was a spelling error, but I can't help thinking "Never Loose" was in reference to carnal pursuits. xDOOC
Scratch would, of course, like to know the details of every code. It was in his nature to learn all he could of his surroundings and the inhabitants. However, continuing to ask about every little detail would sound like an interrogation, and make him suspiscious no matter how innocent he seemed. Instead, he rather wanted to find a way to trick this "Grick" into thinking he was a clan leader. He seemed to be looking for a Clan, and if Scratch had that kind of muscles at his disposal... Well, he muses silently, looking thoughtful. 'Course, everyone was trying to wrap their heads around this situation, so he wasn't the odd man out or anything like that. |

Jinx blinks at Grick, impressed. Yes, that's quite a good one. Simple, straightforward. Quite good. The first and primary rule in mine is "Never let evil go unchecked; fight it with all your skill." But then, I've got ninety-three separate rules.

Oddwin hitches up his pack after untying it from the mule, stands straight on her back and jumps over her head onto the ground. He lands clumsily and with a thud, crawling a few feet to make up for the pain.
__________________"Ooch! Leg, leg! He finished the recovery with a short roll and he gets to his feet with a bit of difficulty. He grabs his goggles which had fallen on the ground and put them back onto his forhead. He spun quickly around and shoved a finger in the mule's face. "If these goggles were broken, I would have to turn you into a toad. He comes around to the side of her head, poking her neck a few times. He leans in and lowers his voice to a whisper. "Let us say it was your fault, love." He smiles at the others as if the proposition was inaudible. "So! He begins to prance toward the cave. "What if the Nearby Dryads of the Nearby Woods attack? I have heard they are somewhat immortal..." His voice is nearly inaudible with the eerie tone he tried to impose. |

"If they attack, then we fight back. Now that's an exciting prospect!" Dragar smiles at the thought, and his eyes gleam as he imagines the battle that would occur.
"However, I don't think that would happen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most dryads peaceful creatures?" |
