Eli watched in helpless horror as another of his companions was taken down, How many new friends must meet there end on this accursed adventure! taking a look at the new comer for but a second Eli offers his thanks before looking to the need of his party, Indeed thank you for your help, though I do not know your name. Eli looks about ensuring no one was injured during the escape. Drake you are a kings man, if you know your way about this castle, then lead the way and do so quickly, I do not think that our words will stand long if at all against that of the councils! from cleric, to hero, to enemy of the state, all in the matter of a few days!

Eli swallows hard and looks anxious to begin their running if only he knew which way, and the sound of the spells crashing into the magical gate does little to help comfort him. Rubbing the holy symbol in his neck the man closes his eyes for a moment and seems to calm down...if only a little Look to the keeping of our friends soul,Pelor, may she bask in the light of your sun forevermore, and may we join her in time.... but not quite yet, there is much work to be done.

My name is DanJaeneth, i am a wizard initiate of the tower, who just uncovered the plot to kill the King. The dark haired woman looks at the ground, hair hiding her face for a moment. She looks up and hers eyes are filled with tears, but she sheds none. I was too late to stop it or try and talk them out of the plot.....unfortunately you are currently being framed for it, and two wrongs in one day could change this world forever. She turns to the Princess and curtsies deeply with an elegant grace, My Lady, i offer my sincerest heart felt apologies for being too late to save your father, i admired him as i do my own.

[Causa]

Aoibheann cast a poised nod towards DanJaeneth. Her eyes fall closed with a gesture. She offers no words to the Wizard, folding her hands at her waist, however her lip trembles in her bite, and tears fall silently down her cheeks.

Correcting her posture, she presses her fingertips to her lips a moment, taking a deep breath, trying to find her words again.

Finally trusting her voice, she offers: Both sides end in a winding staircase down to the grand hall, it doesn't matter as to which side we choose."

Drake seeing the hurt in everyone's eyes looks within for strength. He stoically looks to the others, Follow me I shall lead the way. If we are caught then we won't have a chance to avenge his majesty and the lady will certainly be slain.

That being said Drake makes his way down the stairwell to the left with his sword drawn ready to fight his way out if needs be. DanJaeneth it is good to have someone with your powers on our side. You may be what gets out of this place in tact.

Or they may burn me at the stake the tall slim elf replies, tall for an elf that is. I doubt i shall be welcome in this tower till they are brought to justice!

Drake looks to the new female elf as he runs down the hall, "This group has been through a lot even before I joined them. We will all get through this and avenge the king. This is a promise I make to all of you."

Drake then quickens his pace and urges the others to follow as best they can. "We must get out of the city by any means necessary. Does anyone know a fast way out once we get out of the palace?"

Eli runs Quickly along side his friends, If but the church where of trustworthy nature we could seek sanctuary their. Pelor's glowing balls, Why must we be the heir of such fortune as this!Eli listens as drake speaks but says nothing.

[Causa]

As the group approaches the C9gate, their escape is halted. A matching gate rests on the opposite C14side of the door.

From both stairwells, enemies begin to appear. In C5front of you a pair of half-orc guards appear, wearing the tabbard of Valacre's garrison. One carries a shield and a longspear, while the other grips a battleaxe with both hands.

C18Behind you, a pair of acolyte mages stand at the top of the stairs, and summon a pair of elementals past the first gate, trying to box you in. They quickly take off down the stairs, however, willing to risk their summoned companions more than themselves.

Drake looks right then left, "I will hold the ones off on the left you guys kill the elementals. Once done with them come and help me take these two down."

Drake then charges the 2 half-orcs. He attack

DanJaeneth biting her lower lip moves forward with the honorable guardsman, hold guardsman DJ yells at Drake We will not have battle today, not when we have captured these villains! DJ winks at Drake as she moves forward making wild motions with her arms to stop the fighting while hiding her finger movements. charm person spell, on the guard Drake wasn't attackingŠarm asmuo rašybos.

Looking at the guard whom she hopefully charmed, Guardsman, open this gate so we may take these men to the dungeons and away from the elementals that were sent to stop us!

ooc my hope is by charming the one guard, he wouldn't be totally opposed to opening the gate especially since i am dressed as a tower wizard and Drake as one of them. I am hoping as well to confuse them and hope they defend us against the elementals!   The gate is now open, however only one of the Half-Orcs is charmed. To convice him to attack his own Guard-Mate will require another opposed Charisma Check. Normally it would have an increased DC since it's his own garrison mate AND a fellow half-orc, but you are a tower wizard, so they cancel out.

DM Says Dice Will Save: 1d20 12 Dice Opposed Charisma: 1d20-2 (16)-2 Total = 14 The Half-Orc bows his head to the Council Initiate, pressing his fist to his chest. "Yes, M'Lady," He answers her instruction in the gruff tone of an Orcish voice. The Guard moves over towards the pillar the gate is set into, and opens a small panel. A bronze medallion, similar to the Princess' is mounted there. The Guard cranks the medallion to point upwards, and the gate begins to grind it's way up, into the ceiling.

Drake turns to the elementals takes 5 foot step and draws a dagger and attack

throws it through the gate at the elementals. Thinking to himself about how great it is to have someone smart in the group with magic. "Allow me to delay these elementals. Step to the front with me guards."

DM Says Drake tosses the dagger down the hall away from the Half-Orcs. It clatters against the gate, unfortunately, hanging by it's guard in the steel gridwork.

[Causa]

 

The Half-Orc pauses as Drake orders them to attack the summons. "We can go this way..." He thumbs at the stairwell behind him, but he looks suspiciously at Drake, taking in the grime and ashe on the man's uniform, and his aged Bastard Sword. "You're with the Garrison?" He asks of the human.

Drake just shakes his head, "I am one of the king's personal friends and have just gotten back from a mission in a dungeon. I came back right away to inform him of the evil there when I happened across this scene. The King has been slain and they were kidnapping the Princess. You now get in the mage and my way when we are trying to take this filth to the jails! Intimidation to help DJ to get the orcs to attack each other

Eli never one to be a fan of lies but knowing when they where required kept his hands to his side and his head down saying nothing. I hope this works, I have little use left in my current condition. looking to the princess and drake the man ponders if the ruse is working then hearing Comme's words he adds his own attempt to help in the bluff. Shut your mouth Comme, lest we are again to take a beating... Eli then looks to Drake with fear in his eyes. I suppose that was not a lie, as I do not wish to fight. though it would be the orcs and not drake whom would be our opponent.
