Kindli and Neira look to each other. Neira responds, Belnan, you haven't heard of The All-Seeing Pole? Abel is quite the strange one, but he's got some good information him, if you can manage to ask the correct question. Neira shakes her head, seemingly remembering when she unsuccessfully asked him a question and couldn't understand the answer.
__________________Kindli concurs, It's like you get the answer 34 when you ask what's the source of the undead and the interpretation is that it's 17 times two. Kindli shakes her head similarly. Raph, did you get the information that you desired? Kindli and Neira seem to be waiting for everyone to assemble together before we all go off to the west to inspect a hut and maybe another cave. |

Martigan make his way to the tavern passing by the merchants and homes along the way.
__________________As the tavern comes into sight he smiles as the memories come flooding back and a new list of things to do flood his mind. he passes the 2 large doors and lets his eyes adjust form the full blast of the bright noon sun to the weaker candle and torch like created by spells and common items. He scans the room and sees new and old faces , Devin the brother in arms who split up with him the other morning but seing him with the 2 new female companions he couldn't blame him. They weren't nearly good enough friend to put "henches before wenches". Devin, I see you made some new friends, so, whats kept you from coming back to the tavern as we agreed on last night, and what have you learned? |

Feldt shuffles down the stairs rubbing her left eye with her hand not bothering to stifle a wide yawn that escapes from her mouth. "Are we ready to leave?" She, of course, has all her gear with her as she did remember to retrieve them from the chest. "Abel Pole? I knew a girl named Jill Pole when I was younger." It's hard to imagine that the little girl could be even younger than she already is. Or for her to even be able to say "when I was younger". "I wonder if they're related." She sits down in HER chair and continues to rub out the sleepiness from her eyes.

"He is indeed powerful in the ways of magic. I asked the most obvious question I could think of, as to the source of the undead, and what he showed me I can't quite place. A building of sorts, I can't for the life of me tell you more than that as per what it was... the description evades my mind." I turn to the 2 women "You two must have spent more time at the church than I... have you seen any strange things going on there? People were coming and going from the building Abel attempted to show me, and the only comparison I have as to the number of people doing such is at the church itself..." I pause... trying to come to terms with bringing a church into suspect. "So far, that's my only lead. A blurry building and lots of people coming and going... and dancing."

"A number of things occured...including blundering into some sort of magical puzzle invovling a huge bear, and learning a little more about the afflicted. I did manage to get some money, and learn the next step on our quest. The weaponsmith says we should seek out a rock which glows in the moonlight, set in a powerful object, somewhere in the caves. We stiill haven't found the orc, but I suspect he is hidden somewhere in the caves. Also, we should avoid the huts around town-there are more afflicted hiding in them."

Kindli nods and drums her fingers on the table, enjoying this discussion and learning more information. I agree with Devin. It seems like what we want to find is in the caves. Raph wants to see what fighting these animals is like and he wants to inspect them to see if he can get any more information from them. When Kindli used the word animals, Neira looked at her and scowled. She adds, I agree that our task of determining what these mutants (she says that word with specific emphasis) would be best served by going to the hut. To get revenge for the crime against Kindli, we would go to the caves.
__________________Neira strokes the beard that she doesn't have. I suggest we aim for the caves and pop by a hut to try to kill one of the mutants for Raph. Last edited by Magnai; 01-24-2011 at 11:40 AM. |

Kal calmly let out a big sigh, when Atma left him alone on the table, loud enough for her to hear it, but not loud enough to sound strange or anything like that.
__________________Some time later, as her was just beggining to explain to Belnan how things actually were, Raph entered and "intercepted" the dialogue, saving the poor man from the gnomes crazy idea. "Belnan I don't really think that your plan..... will.... wo...... A hello Raph. Abel Pole definetely does not ring any bells with me." When the rest of the group came, Kal was amongst the first ones to agree with their suggestions. "A trip back to the caves would be... interesting, with such a crowd!" Well, perhaps we should go to the caves first. Then, if we decide to capture one, rather than kill it, we can do so without dragging it along on an already perilous quest. Either way, the daylight is burning and weshould be off!. Belnan stands (even though you can't really tell, despite him standing on his chair), indicating his impatience to be off. I'm sure there's a lot of rocks to inspect in a cave, although how we're going to bring the moonlight with us to see which one glows...that might be a challenge.

Wow, wow, wow, wow........ wow. Martigan scratches the back of his head. Orc's? Stones? moonlight sonatas? Undead in the hut and a trip to a hut?
__________________Martigan pulls a chair from another table and places it backwards against the groups table and takes a seat and speaks in a hushed voice. Mind starting from the beginning? Oh and as far as I know. there is something bigger going on around here. The undead are only the pawns of the game it seems. there are people in cloaks that hide their faces behind shadows that are keeping watch on the town. and making sure they stay blissfully ignorant to the plight and take great interest in those who snoop around. He pulls out several flasks and motions to Atma trying to get her attention. Atma could you please bring me a pitcher of water and a funnel? please and thank you. He turns back to the group They said that there is something more powerful then them or the walking dead. also that they were only messengers. That's all I know. I'm also trying to find some kind of necklace that looks like ice. I am guessing it'll be crystal clear. this item is unrelated to the walking dead. Last edited by Evil Pie; 01-24-2011 at 05:04 PM. |

Atma quickly complies with Martigan's request and stays close enough to listen to the large conversation and make sure everyone involved is happy and fed.

Martigan opens each flask and reaches into his pocket and thinks for a second, then as he pours the water over the flask's small opening the water does not spill but instead funnels itself into each of the lasts as he pours it over them one by one. He corks them then pulls out the bushel of cotton, twine/string, the knife he had purchased earlier and a hand full of arrows. He goes about cutting small 3 inch squares of cloth, fashioning the cotton into 3 inch squares as he listens to the explanations.

At Martigan's mention of the cloaked figures they had encountered the previous night, Belnan stands up on his chair again, excitedly. Yes, those sons of a mutilated rat shot me in the back! Look at this scar! Finding another opportunity to remove his shirt, Belnan does so and shows off the reddened flesh where the arrow had struck his back the previous night. Then he sits down, a sort of a moseying maneuver. I agree with the mad man. And he raises his right eyebrow in a very thoughtful, yet manly pose. There's something bigger going on here, and I suspect it may involve...an orc. He looks at Kindli for her agreement, the same eyebrow still frozen in it's lofty position above the left side.

HAH! no. not till I get an Explanation as to what has been going on. This place has been dealing with this plague for a while now and I have no problem leaving it the way it is because I don't work for free. "Just cause" does not put food in my belly, keep me warm, or fill my pockets with coin.
__________________He sets the square cloth and cotton puff off angles on top of each other making an 8 sided star. he places an arrow on the end of the cloth and rolls it up and ties it together with a the string on the ends rather than the middle. he does this several times till he is left with 12 arrows made in the same fashion. |
