Well, the next post is up. I have to admit though, with so many dropouts i'm close to throwing in the towel for this one. I recognize that it is entirely my fault, i've been frequent in posting late and never warned you in advance, and for that i apologize. If you love this game more than the potential of the hundreds of other games you could fill its place with, i can keep going, and call for the re-recruits, but its up to you.

Well I don't know. Of course I'd like for the game to continue, but with losing almost everyone, does make it seem kind of silly. Maybe starting over completely would make more sense?

Yes, I don't know how much I'd like to keep going with just 2 players. We've only done a tiny little piece though, so adding new people doesn't seem too bad.

Good point ... I suppose the battle with the remaining goblin could go horrifically badly for the other four members of our party and we'd have to go back to town and find new, goblin resistant travel companions

Alright, i'll find the old app thread and send a few PMs, see if anyone is still interested. Meanwhile, i'm sure you can still handle one goblin with the two of you.

Does that mean we can both act now? Do any of the other PCs who just suddenly dropped dead happen to have a longbow at all? Would work better then the shortbow I currently have ... is it okay to 'loot our companions'? The armor at least (though neither of us can use it) was part of the dungeon treasure. Maybe one of the new people will want it, or we could at least sell that.

Yes, you may both act. Did i not mention that? Whoops...
__________________The sword, is +1, matching the armor. Whoever owned it must have been some classy dude. Its decorated with wolves just like the armor. Also, i'll probably not have the others just Die, that would be a bit weird. They can part ways back at town or something. I'm going to keep the armor with you though, maybe Ganch can complain of chafing... You'll also get bonud XP for all these undercrewed battles. Last edited by Jocularity; 04-25-2011 at 09:40 AM. |

Wolves are indeed classy; hence my character's tattoo of one. Posting up an action in a minute, then.

Arrgh, i'm just not feeling it.To be honest, i don't think i have the willpower to give it the effort it needs to breathe back to life. At least not right now, the way it is. I click on the game feeling like its a chore. That's a bad thing. What i think maybe i should do is drop it entirely for a good few months at least, and maybe come back to it later down the line with a makeover. Perhaps a higher start level and maybe a bit more freedom on players as non-standard races. When that happens, you two will be the very first that i PM and you'll have guaranteed acceptance. How does that sound? |

To be honest, I know the feeling. DMing is tough, I think even tougher on the site than in RL, and it can indeed feel like a chore. I really hate making maps for example.

I understand that trying to bring it back after it floating near death could be unenjoyable. If you bring it back later, I will probably return.

Very well then. I shall let the primordial grey ooze of my creative subconscious boil and mix, and when it has birthed some bizarre monster crawling up covered in slime, i shall call you.
