Waking to an early dawn, Jennavoia made it back as promised from an eve at Solana's house. As a guest he was entranced by Solana's beauty and grace. It was not often that a woman of her measure found it into his life. William seemed overly protective of her. As he respected her for her, William made it a point to be a sort of father figure in her life as brief the encounter as it may be. Generally cleaning himself with cool water in a wooden basin, the merchant stepped downstairs in his house. The split duties of his wares were stored right inside the downstairs of the house as the upstairs loft was dedicated to the living quarters.
The wood framed large style house in the richer section of town merited a newly built townhome to accompany a lending service that had not taken of the ground yet. With a printing press established and a few lbs of platinum and gold he would service just about any lending coin to the folk of Evergreen. He had a new armory and weapon rack and a food pantry as Jennavoia tried to contend business early that morning. Checking that his wares were intace, he opened the shutters as the sun enveloped the open store. Stoking the fire within the hearth, smoke billowed out of the Nook and Cranny Shop as continuing on for business as usual. A few villagers made it through eagerly buying loaves of bread and chunks of meat. Satisified of the morning sales, Jennavoia takes leave of the shop. And travels to Town Square to post a notice regarding his Store.A few smiles from the villagers and some formal salutes, Jennavoia made it a point to repsect the people of this town. It wouldn't be to long before he would travel back South to pick up more wares for his store. After reading Ben Hopes notice about looking for help, Noir went to look for Ben Hope and the others lending a hand when needed. Last edited by Storm; 02-26-2011 at 12:43 PM. |

"Bah!" the old trapper exclaims as he kicks up a clump of snow in frustration. "I knew it'd be pointless to look around here. At least I can tell Ol' Ben that I took a look around eh Patches?" The man scratches his dog behind the ear. "Well, some folks think they may have run off into the woods. It probably won't be much more use but at least the ground won't be so trampled". William starts walking towards the edge of the southern wilderness with his dog Patches hot on his heels.

"Whats this? Thomas Eggle is looking for help with the town's guard. Hmm I will have to look for his whereabouts. It sounds interesting. I do have some down time now that the shop is closed for the day." Looking around Town Square, he didn't quite know where Thomas Eggle lived or where he might be, but was on the forefront of his mind. Leaving the message up for others to read, Jennavoia Noir takes off in search of Thomas Eggle or Ben Hope to join the guard if they would have him.

Sigurd is completely surprised by the hug from Breck. Following after the older girl, Sigurd asked, "do ya' really think there's a witch?" Letting out a huge yawn, Sigurd added, "I can't sleep. One of these nights she might come after me! But my mum says that there's no such thing as witches -- that Brand and the others are juss lost, and the men of the village should be searching behind every last tree for 'em!" Sigurd poses with his sling in truly heroic fashion, pretending to fire an imaginary bullet at an imaginary adversary. "But if there's really a witch, I'll make her wish she never mess'd with this village!"

Breck shakes her head at the boy, but can't help smiling. 'E's so like Brand, maybe a touch more adventurous, but so much alike. Certainly nothin's goin' to 'urt 'im while I'm around-- not that he would ever believe 'e needs my protection.
I don't know, Sigurd. It seems odd to me that Brand and so many other kids would all go missin' at the same time-- makes me think there's somethin' or some one takin' them. Witch seems as likely as anythin' else to me, more likely than a lot of things. Breck watches the boy take his heroic pose and even giggles a bit. Sigurd, I know you're a brave lad, but promise me if anythin' or anybody tries to take you, you get off one shot with that sling of yours, then run and scream for help. On top of that, you really do need to watch tryin' to go places all alone-- good way to land yourself in a mess of trouble. |

After making his morning rounds of the church, Father Paul puts on his heavy winter cloak and leaves the church. He sets out to the town square and towards Jennovia's shop. He enters the shop looking around at the people inside. He shakes hands with a couple people and gives them a small blessing and promises of visiting their houses soon. After all of the pleasantries are done he looks around for Jennovia. He notices he isn't in his shop so Father Paul goes out to the town square

Jennavoia ponders for a moment and realizes his best bet at finding Cpt. Hope is at the town guard or his house in the Southern Borough. As for Thomas Eggle, he would most certainly be doing some bidding over at Town Hall.[secrt=copatt, alesch, stormhammer]

The morning passed quietly for most of the village. The good weather served to alleviate some of the dim feelings from the day before. Yet, as the early afternoon began to set in, clouds started to roll over from the mountain. Soon, the sun had faded from view and the snow had begun to fall, ever so lightly, once again. A chill ran through the town. It was a brief chill, but its portents tickled the spines of those that felt it.

Father Paul steps out into the Town Square, still looking for Jennovia. Father Paul spots him heading towards the Southern Borough. Father Paul calls out for him.

"Ah yes Father, I'm sorry to have made plans with you. I spent time with Solana De'COrtez and William. The night seemed a bit cold to bother you at the Temple. My idea was to travel into the woods to look for the lost town guard. William set things straight mentioning that I would be lost without a good person to know the lay of the land. I wanted to recruit a search party and even thought of asking you but William made it a point to say that risking peoples lives was not going to make anything easier. Right now I'm going to search for Thomas Eggle or Ben Hope. If I can do anything at all, I might as well try to become a temporary guard. With the hopes of helping the town of Evergreen."

Byron began his rounds as Captain Hope had asked of him. The night of sleeping on the bench had helft him rather sore, but still he travels around the village looking for anything out of the ordinary. His dog and mule were at his side as always, and he hoped they would sopt anything that he misses. Finally he stops to talk to the villagers he sees, asking about anything unusual he should be on the lookout for. He hopes that things are uneventful, but deep down he wants to solve whatever mystery might be going on if only to spite the mayor.

After finishing her daily work Solana put on her winter jacket, closed the shutters, and went outside with Alpine. The dog jumped happily at her side tossing the snow into the air. "Lets head down to town square and see whats happening today" she said to the dog cheerfully.
__________________Upon reaching her destination she searched for someone to talk to. The whole town seemed busy which made Solana feel useless, but she was determined to help in someway. |

Stopping just short of the edge of Town Square and in the middle of talking with Father Paul, Jennavoia sees Solana and greets her as she walks by."Hello Ms. De'Cortez. Father Paul and I were in the middle of discussing things but your presence is a sight behold of beauty and grace." As the gentleman bows and with a flick of the wrist gently clasps Solana hand in a warm hold. He smiles upon her in fashion that is welcoming.

Blushes deeply and grows a goofy grin upon her face "Aweh, you're too sweet Jennavoia, your words make my heart melt and gives me euphoric butterflies. What were you and Father Paul talking about?" she asks in curiosity.
