I've got an idea to get the game running if everyone is game. Since we all do have our own back stories, we can be a former band of adventurers who disbanded and agreed to meet again after a set period of time. (I already suggested this part) So the first thing we have to do is get caught up with each other and introduce our cohorts to everyone. There will also be that initial feeling out of each other to see how things have changed and who will tend to be more commanding. This gives those that need it, time to finish the more minute details of their characters and cohorts but also gets the game running. It will also allow us to work out our plan of attack in character.

Just a thought...

Also, I made some custom items according to the DMG rules, but seeing someone else asking about a custom Item I figured I should run them by you.

Necklace of Greater Mighty Wallop (CL 16th) - Continuously grants the wearer the effects of the greater mighty wallop spell (RotD)

Expeditious Boots - Continuously grants the wearer +30 ft to land speed.

(Will add the pricing later, when I have access to that excel file again.)

Just caught my eye, not trying to snoop.
It's a +8 shield that floats 2 feet in front of me, protecting me but allowing me to use a two handed weapon. Animated is a +2 bonus, +8 enhancement, equals a +10 shield. As for the bracers, I already have bracers to boost my dex, so I kind of need the slot.

(Sorry for the delay, my wife has been in and out of the hospital. I'm back now, though).

I can agree to us all having been past comrades who went their seperate ways and reunited after some time. Though there doesn't necessarily have to have been a formal agreement made to meet up years later. After all, it seems a bit lame to say that they agreed to meet up simply because, without there being a specific thing they needed to do together.

The way I see it, the idea of a single group of adventurers consisting the same people without variation and individuals coming a going on their own business only to return later on, is hard to believe.
It might be better to say that each of our characters started their own seperate adventuring careers each with their own goals and motivations, and during all the events that led them to level 20 they worked with others on many occasions when there was something they all wanted to do. A treasure that needed to be found, an enemy to be stopped, etc. When the goal is accomplished, the quest that brought them together done with, then it would be natural if they drifted apart and pursued other things. Some might stay together to do other things if their interests still aligned, but others would certainly go their own way. This could happen many times over their careers, with each of the PCs working together whenever they happened to cross paths with one of the others and were willing and able to help each other with the matter at hand. So each of the PCs would have helped each other out at one time or another on various different things. Whether they were simply allies or formed friendships or even on and off partnerships depends on the players involved.
The points is that we could have known each other and worked together on numerous occasions, if not necessarily all together at one time. There were likely quite a few other adventurers they worked with on those occasions as well, who weren't lucky enough to make the long and dangerous journey to level 20 without being killed or deciding to find a safer job. Must happen quite often in that line of work.
At some point the six PCs realize that they're the only ones left from those days who have gotten this far and find that they've accomplished most of the goals they set out to do when they took up adventuring, and are now left finding something worth doing with all the power they've accumulated. And the way they are now it isn't too hard to track each other down and arrange a meeting to discuss it.

Or maybe I'm making it more complicated than it needs to be. I just feel like it's a bit more believable like that.

Ah coolness...actually brings up something I am curious about...Followers...

Now I can think of several ways I could do the followers, but it seems to me like it would bog down the game (at least for me) so do any of you have any suggestions for this. I was actually thinking I would RP them out, but the other main thought I had was a sort of standing army (which would also go well with my background.

Open to suggestions on this. Either way I can post anytime, but I was hoping to be the last one to "enter" because otherwise it will be difficult to find the group. Possibly throw up a pre-entering RP soonish.
